JUST FOUND THIS! ****

Just found this site from a friend (wish I knew before I made the appoint for tomorrow) but hopefully it will help someone

LOW cost neutering

friendsofanimals.org

you put your zipcode in and they send you participating vets...$64.00 for males

It ends up being about the same price I am paying. The $64 is just for the discount certificate. Then they charge you for little things like blood work & medications. Let me know how everything goes.

They never asked us how old he was and said it was a flat fee. Guinness just turned a year old...but we are paying $200 plus any medication he needs. Please keep me updated how your baby comes out of this. It just sounds so painful, but I am probably over reacting!!

I was suckered into this too. It cost the same in the long run, and I didn't even get to use my vet,, I had to use one the participating vets.

The aspca offers free or low cost spaying and neutering. I have sent a lot of my co workers there and they said it cost them about 35.00 to get it done and they also received a rabies vaccine.
Yes, you have to wait, but the line goes fast.

spay

Island rescue in Bayshore offers low cost spaying. Not sure what they charge though.

You can also contact the Suffolk SPCA and see if they are having any spay neuter days.

But please have your dog fixed. Healthwise, it is much better for the dog.
