Just got a new kitty for my B-Day. How do you introduce a new kitty to your old cat. My older cat is 2 years old now and my new one is only 6 weeks old. He is so cute and so playful. I will have to post pics tomorrow, but what is the best approach and how long does it take for them to get use to each other?

Awww, congrats !!!
I would do some research online about introducing a new member to the family. Or ask your vet.

Well their temperments are all different, but for the first few weeks make sure 'old kitty' has a 'new kitty-free-zone' to retreat too if she wants to 'get away from it all' - somewhere that the baby can't follow her. In a few weeks, they should become fast friends! GOOD LUCK!!

Congrats on your addition Irene. It will work but it takes time. Don't leave them alone at first for awhile. If no one is home, separate them. Put them together for a short while each day when you are home and increase the time. Don't worry they will soon become friends and sleep together and clean each other. Its the cutest thing.
