Here is what i did first
- CHURCH!!!
- Research RH here on liweddings (check out the brides review for the ones you are interested it)
- visit RHs -see all the ones you wanted too even if you fall in love with the first one , you can always go back and book it

The first and ONLY thing I did, I know I know we kind of slacked, was book the RH and the church...I think once you have that, you can take a breather and then start booking everything else.....you can't book any vendors without a date or place so start researching catering halls....
I would suggest bringing a notebook and jotting down notes with pro's and con's of each RH....this way you can compare prices, extras, etc with each hall

It's never too early to start! We looked a some RHs after we confirmed which days the church was available. We finalized everything with them last month. Right now we're starting the DJ process & then after we'll probably do the photographers (hoping to get at least that done before the holidays). Then before you know it the months are being torn off the calendar & its a year, 6 months, a month before the wedding!![]()
PS- is it just me or is this year FLYING by!?

Welcome and Congrats! It's definatly not too early to book for December 2011. I booked my hall in February 2008 for a July 2010 wedding (and there were dates filled up for Nov 2010 when I was looking back last jan/feb!!)

congrats and welcome - take some time to figure out your guestlist - that will help drive some of the RHs that you will be looking at because they all require mins and have max caps. good luck and enjoy!!

not at all! i though the same thing but humored my mom and started to look at RH - we were interested in 4th of july weekend and it was all booked up at the RH we fell in love with! we had to choose the week after!!!! i know its a holiday but if the whole weekend was booked ppl are booking for 2011!

Never too early! I'm learning that the dates are booking fast! I went to 1 place that had 2 weekends and in Oct. 2011 already booked!

its never too early!!!!! dates book realllllllly fast, i would def start rh hunting and if your ceremony will be somewhere other than the rh i would look into that as well and book them asap
