Just Got Engaged....Need Some Venue Help
I just got engaged a little less than a week ago and I'm starting my initial research. We figured out a preliminary guest list of about 90 people. I'm looking for suggestions on venues to check out for about 100 people. I'm in Babylon, so nothing super far from there. I don't know if most venues can accommodate 100 or if I would need a venue/room on the smaller side. Also, not looking for anything with a super high price tag attached lol. I've looked at tons of venue websites, but I haven't been to many of the venues before. So before I start picking places to check out, I wanted opinions from all of you :)I've been reading these boards and any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
-Brooke

Congrats on getting engaged! Check out Timber Point in Great River (I'm getting married there so I'm biased lol)! Definitely work with your budget, close to Babylon, one wedding at a time, my minimum is less than 100 so I'm sure they can accommodate you! Good luck!

I would check out a few of the lessings places. Like Angie... I'm a little biased because I am getting married at the Mansion at West Sayville. I would also look into one of the all inclusive places... like Miller Place Inn or The Cottage at East Wind. Happy planning!

We had to guarantee 100 at our venue. What I picked up from looking at venues is that Saturday nights have the highest minimum guarantee number. Day time is usually less along with Fridays or Sundays. Good luck!

For a smaller wedding, The Cottage at East Wind is definitely worth checking out. It's an all inclusive deal (you can FM me if you want detailed info) and the room is smaller. The deal includes 100 people. The East Wind is having a bridal showcase on 11/24 if you wanted to check it out without making an appt. But, it's definitely worth at least sitting down with them.

Timber Point- perfect for a smaller wedding. If my guest list was smaller we would have went there, beautiful room with new floors & price is unbeatable!

I'm biased, but check out Thatched Cottage. My wedding was absolutely amazing. The food is phenomenal, everyone who works there is great (our limo didn't pick us up after the reception and three people that worked at Thatched Cottage offered to drive us back to the hotel), and everything went perfectly. I know they have a smaller room, but I'm not sure what the minimum is. If you call, try to meet with Maureen - she's the best.

This!! I am getting married at Timber Point, they are very reasonable in price. Many of the Lessing venues are (with the exception of Bourne Mansion).
