Fh got his tonsils removed today! I feel so bad for him. I asked him how bad it hurts on a scale from 1-10 and he said 8! The doctor said they were so infected, he is lucky he did it right away, or he might have gotten real sick! The doc also said, if it hurts this bad already, tomorrow and the next day is going to be even worse! My poor, poor, baby!!

I had mine removed a few years ago and it was horrible Tell him to eat alot of ices and ice cream...it made me feel better

Tonsil surgery is the WORST. I had mine removed a little over a year ago. I was out of work recovering for a little over 2 WEEKS!
I couldnt talk or eat, and I had to go back and forth to the hospital twice for dehydration..MAKE SURE HE DRINKS LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER! most important...I lost 14lbs after surgery! so that was a plus haha

I told him...drink! So i have my alarm set for every 4 hrs, he will take his pain meds at that time, and have half a glass of water. He needs to lose a few himself, i hope this gives him a jump start!

I have had some surgeries in my time, and he has been there for a few. I can take pain, which i think gave him the wrong idea that he should be able to also. Well, he was holding up strong till an hour ago, he snapped! He was punching the air...making a weird face, i didnt know wether to laugh or cry!
