I stopped breathing on an average of 29 times an hour. I have t o go back Mon. night and slleo there again and this time theu will put the oxygen machine on me to see how much I need so they can order me a machine for my house.
Now I am going to look like Darth Vader, I am sure I will turn fh on w. a tube coming out of my nose every night.
Anyway, I guess its good that they found out and supposedly once I get the oxygen I need when I am sleeping I will be a diiferent person, not tired all the time and no more headaches.

Its a good thing you know whats wrong now because sleep apnea can be dangerous! Do you have to use the tubes all the time??

awwwwwww im sorry hun but yeah- good thing they found it now. FH has it but wont do anything about it.... grrr. hugs to you! hey maybe now is a good time to try out that fantasy your FH has always had.... the one where he wears a blind fold to bed... he wont see the tube then.

a friend of mine had this done... and the machine was a lifesaver. she know is so much more alert, she's never tired anymore, she's lost weight ,etc. etc. her energy is back.

Thanks for the words guys, The dr. actually said that there is a mouthpiece now that you can use insr=tead of the machine but insurance doesn't cover it, but I might just buy it so I am more comfortable. We will see how I do on the machine first.

My dad sleeps with that my son laughed at him hysterical the first time he saw it. It isn't that bad though. You get used to it.

my FH parents have it too, and they got the c packs and feel sooooooo much better and more energized, I think you'll feel great, they swear by the devices, its only when youre sleeping.... Hope it works for you too!

Thank you guys all so much, I am really hoping for an improvement after I get the machine. I just hope I can wear it. I read that 25-50% of people can't wear it b/c it either falls off in their sleep from tossing and turning or it is just too uncomfortable. I guess wew will wait and see.

My dr. had a questionaire about it and if you answered yes to a certain amount of questions then they suggest you go for a sleep study. They actually do it in some dr. offices, but my insurance made me go to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip
