Just Got My Xyron Machine

did you get the 510?

Practice makes perfect..thats all I can say. It will take a little but to get used to...the feel of the machine but once it does...you will love it.

Make sure you hold the 'wax' paper as it is coming out of the back of the machine. I know with the 500, sometimes it had a tendency of curling back up into the machine and causing the machine to jam, then you have to throw away the cartirage. I hope they fixed that with the 510!!

You may also encounter some glue balls on the ends of your projects. Fear not...just roll your finger over them then on to the wax paper and they should come right off!!!

yes you can...bu tyou will see the adhesive through the vellum. Personally it doesnt bother me because its not like drops of glue but it bothers some. It all depends on the color of the background paper that you are putting it on. the lighter the paper the less you will see the adhesive!!

I started with the 150 since I would have issues with wasting adhesive on the smaller items and I have to say I LOVE it-- but I know that I will also want the 510 for larger items--since I am not going to put letters, cutouts, etc thru the 510 but the 150 is perfect for that-
