I am still in awe at that list. What the heck was that...I think I lost an organ because I gasped so hard. Damn!!!! Is this a wedding or brain surgery.

but if you notice - it has a lot of the following:

pick out wedding bands
buy wedding bands

order rehearsal dinner invites
send out rehearsal dinner invites...

if you narrow it down by that - it's not too bad

I am getting married in September and so far the only things crossed off my list are the hall, my wedding dress, and the BM gifts. Should I be nervous and get off my a$$ and start doing things or am I ok and have time? Are there other brides like me that just aren't into this? It's hard for me to do anything bec I work all day and the only time I have with my son is nights and weekends. ugg!!!!

Don't worry my wedding is in October 2008 and I am not really into planning either lol. I have my RH, and photographer basically lol. Oh I have save the dates too that I have yet to mail out! I have to get a move on too!!!

I wouldn't drive yourself crazy with the time line unless you have specific vendors you absolutely must have. My wedding is in 5 months and we haven't booked a DJ yet, and apparently, that's one of the vendors to go fast.

I would definitely suggest narrowing that list down though to what's relevant for you and then put it in order of things you need to do first. Then, break it down to 3 or 4 vendors for each category that you want to check out. Look on here for reviews....email them and tell them a range for your budget and see if they fall in it or can work with you (go lower than your actual budget though), and if they are available for your date....if they say they can't, cross em off the list.

Here are some suggestions to help you get started:

Florist (just booked 2 weeks ago) - Pedestals .....we also so Burtons, a local florist in Hicksville..Aladdins

Limo: Camelot......we got most of our price quotes over the phone for this and then went by reputation

Photographer: Just switched to Patken...we also saw Daniel Krieger, Sherwood-Triart, and Park Ave. We're inviting 500+ guests and the owner of Patken said, unless we want to do a ton of posed family shots, we don't NEED a 2nd photographer.

Videographer: Bellarino...love them!

Hair: Had a trial with Roseanna Amador from CosmoNY (vendor on here)

Make up: Had a trial with Karen Abitol (also a vendor on here) Trying to make an appt for a trial with Kacey from Khoulouds for both hair and make up

not sure if this will help you at all... but i planned a whole wedding in less that 4 months!!
so you still have time and it can be done!!

I agree that you should get moving b/c dates do get booked, but don't stress out too much either. My FH and I are going to be engaged less than 9 months before we marry and we planned almost everything in about 3 - 4 months. And we did A LOT of research (we saw 18 halls).
