Just saying...

You know, since we changed our wedding date, and up until a few months ago, I didn't realize our wedding is now taking place Labor Day weekend. I think it's good. We'll have our rehearsal dinner on Friday night, wedding on Sat. night, and a BBQ on Sunday. It'll kind of be like a weekend thing. What do you think?

Sounds great!!

My FSIL was going to do that, but b/c of some family situation, she didn't. But, I know she preferred that weekend b/c most people will be able to make a weekend out of you wedding!! More fun.....

We got married Labor Day Weekend..

at the Port Jeff CC & it was wonderful! I know you already know the story, so I won't bore you. By the way - I wanted to ask - did you call Dina - the girl I recommended for hair & make up? She spoke to my MOH Tuesday and told her that a girl named Melissa from out of state getting married on LI called her & she lost the #. If you did call her and are still interested, I can give you her #. Anyway I highly recommend a holiday weekend it keeps the party going!! Good luck & I wish you lots of happiness!!

I'm getting married on 4th of July weekend

We might have a BBQ rehearsal dinner becuase I am getting married on July 5, 2003. I might pick whichever relative has the best location for viewing fireworks and have a BBQ. So, I think your BBQ idea is great! Becky

I think that will be really nice. It will give you a chance to relax with everyone and have some more quality time with them.

Melissa, I know from reading your past posts that this wedding planning has not been the easiest or the smoothest. I think your plans for the weekend sound great!! Have fun with the rest of your planning!!

Melissa, that sounds just like what I would do. I think it's great! Go for it...by the way, my sister's name is Melissa.
