Just some thoughts for those having their ceremony and reception at the same place...
I was one of these people.
Typically it is assumed that you and your FH will see each other before the wedding and take pics to save on time. Some people are ok with this and some people are not. I was going to go along with it and see my husband, but in the end tradition won out.
I just wanted to say if you are uncomfortable doing it- there are other alternatives.
We took a lot of pre ceremony pics separately, we took the bridal party pics before hand as well. We started taking pics 4 1/2 hours before the ceremony.
After the ceremony which was short we took combined family pics and pics with bridal party and that took such a short time.
We then took our pics and then we still had time to spare if we wanted to enjoy some of our c*ocktail hour.
So I guess my point is that there is a way of not seeing each other if you are unsure.
