Just venting =/

Hey Ladies! Stressing just a little over here. So originally my FH and I had decided on a September 2016 wedding due to the insane amount weddings cost! And just recently my grandmother asked us to move up the wedding to 2015 because her and my mother are both ill and afraid they wont make the wedding and she would help up with the costs of the venue, The fact that they are both ill is upsetting and stressful but we went through the whole back and forth of finding available dates from Giorgio's who we already signed the contract with for 2016. They were fantastic and Nick and George Jr were nothing short of amazing through this whole ordeal but now I am 2 days shy of a year out and I feel like I have no time at all. I've done nothing but choose the venue. I haven't even picked colors or anything! I know I have a year but I was so set that I had 2 now I just feel like I need to rush with everything!

I know it's hard, but just try not to get stressed and rush. If you're rushing, you can make poor decisions you'll regret later. Just do as you were going to do before, just with less time inbetween. Do one vendor at a time in order of importance to you. Like we booked most of our major vendors already, but over a year's time. But we could have done it in a few months if we had to. Do some pinterest research in regards to colors and once you've chosen that, everything else (bridal party attire, decor, flowers, etc.) will all start falling into place and be much easier to envision. Don't stress, it will all be fine and your day will be perfect! <3

I'm so sorry to hear that about your mom and grandmother. I Can't imagine what you are going through.

Don't stress. You still have time. Every vendor that I went to was surprised that I was booking things so early- my date is 5 days after yours. The vendors said that usually around 10 months away all the brides 'wake up' as multiple vendors called it, and start booking. I know a bride getting married next July and only has her venue booked, so you are ok.

Use the reviews on here as a starting point and just start making some appointments. Most places will be able to see you asap. Do each vendor a diff week so you aren't overwhelmed. Once you have a few booked it will make things move along much more quickly. Everything for your day will be perfect. Good luck and just keep posting on here for reviews/advice on vendors. Xo

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother and your grandmother. Just a thought--a friend had a large wedding planned but when her mother got sick, she held a small ceremony in her parent's home so that her mother could be there. Just close family and friends were in attendance. My friend hoped that her mother could make the 'real' wedding too but her condition worsened and sadly she passed away a few months earlier. Her mother's presence was definitely missed at the larger wedding but my friend was also content because her mother got to see her get married. Just a thought.

Good luck with your planning--this should not be a stressful time for you! I can understand it's hard balancing getting the special people in your life to your wedding while being still able to plan and afford want you want.

So sorry to hear about your mother and grandmother Don't worry we didn't even START looking into wedding stuff until 10 months out! We booked the venue at exactly 10 months, then booked the big stuff (photo/video/DJ/dress/flowers) over the next month. We are 9 months out now and after getting those things out of the way I honestly feel like I don't have a lot left! Well still have bridesmaid dresses/tuxes, invitations, registry, hair/makeup, etc lol....but those things I feel like I can do at a more relaxed pace. You are already ahead of me!

I'm sorry your feeling the stressed! The best advice I could give u is to check out the complete wedding package in east meadow. My co worker used them for her wedding, she got everything from them at a great all inclusive price. You could save a lot of time in having to find and shop for each vendor!! I.would also start looking in pinterest for color and bm dresses. Hope this helps!! We also have a fb if u want to join. It's set to secret do fm me if your interested in joining. I think it's helpful bc we get quicker responses.
