kasdgbfsd

FMIL was at it again.

I was so close, really close, to loosing it last night.

She makes pasta for dinner before going to the fitting. I told her I'd rather have a small salad and eat after the fitting because I have been feeling bloated all day. She tells me that's nonsense.

But, FH did step in and make a salad for me and told his mom to leave it alone.

We go to get my mother so she can come with us. We get to the seamstress, FMIL goes first. Then my mom, than me. My mom had a hard time figuring out my dress, so FMIL steps in and helps. The dress fit perfectly and the hoop skirt saved me from making a drastic mistake. I do not have to shorted it at all!

But, I ask about the caps sleeves.

Ladies, I really need you all to be honest and I can take it, but do my shoulders look ok? I feel like I am waaay to broad on top, and I do have plans to wear my hair down so hopefully it takes it away, but that was the reason I wanted the cap sleeves. FMIL talked me down about it, and my mom, didn't step in at all.

I feel like this woman does not give a crap about what I want, and I wish I could show FH what I am talking about but I very adamant about him seeing my dress before the day.

Please help.

Pics are in my DRESS! Album.

Hey Jess
I think you should opt out of the cap sleeves. I think they'll just draw more attention to where you dont want them too. With your hair down and your veil, you'll be fine. It also might end up being uncomfortable with the sleeves if they start to bother you. Def dont show Derek. However, If you are still uncertain in any way and still dont know what to do, then why not have her make them and make them detcahable. She could put snaps on the inside of your dress and on the caps and that way you can take them on and off if need be. That way if the day of you still feel like you should have them , you can

Good luck

i think you look great ... but ultimately, if you don't feel comfortable, then it doesn't matter what i think.

maybe you could get a shawl of sorts so you could take it off if you need, depending how you feel (plus you could get pics with it on and off so you could choose your favorites). win-win situation

sorry you-know-who's driving you crazy again .... it'll all be over and things will be back to normal soon enough!

i just feel like I look huge on top and im so insecure about it. i'll try to call and see if she can still do a cap but detachable.

She tried doing spaghetti straps (they came with the dress), but there was a dip and it look hideous, made me look more fat on top.

First of all .. you look beautiful in that dress.

IMO you do not need cap sleeves but I do think that its up to you and whatever you feel more comfortable doing. You definitely do not need them though. The idea about maybe having them be detachable is perfect if you really want them.

Tell ykw to zip it

i think it looks great without cap sleeves.

I LOVE your dress and think you would actually be taking away from it with sleeves.

BUT, like the pp said, YOU have to be happy and feel comfortable. You're right, your hair being down will help take some of the shoulder attention away. What kind of jewelry are you adding? A necklace?

LOL, I was happy that we don't have to take the dress apart to shorten it LOL.

I wrote quickly and I wanted to kind of get out of the bad mood I was in last night. I get all happy, and FMIL is always there, bringing me back to earth, I hate it. lol.

I was actually thinking of trying to find some sort of coat or fur shawl. But that I wanna see in person.
