Re: Kate- are you ready for low carb?
I could save serious $$, I did really well last week packing.
For ex: bought a sm. bowl of watermelon this morning it was $3.00. I HAVE a 1/4 of a watermelon at home that cost me $1.69 That could last me all week!!!!!!

We have a company cafeteria and the prices aren't too bad. Just if you go to lunch late (like I do) there is nothing really left

Re: Kate- are you ready for low carb?
I would like to jump on the band wagon too (if you all don't mind). I've done this before, and it worked, but I got SO tired of the chicken and the eggs. I think overall, I do best with the high protein/high fat diet- If I had to pick, I think I am a fat lover more than a sweets lover. So tomorrow A.M. starts carb free for me!

Re: Kate- are you ready for low carb?
I tried to do Atkins for um 2 days. Didn't work. I can only take a specific type of food for so long before I get bored and binge. That isn't good. So I am doing a modified version of no-carb diet. Less pasta, rice and bread. Those three are my biggest downfalls. After 3 days straight of not having pasta only, my stomach feels flatter. So I think that this is the way to go for me for now. For intance last night I wanted a veggie fajita. Comparing Atkins high carb veggies-I couldn't have ANY of the ones I had cut up! I can't do that. And I feel a heck of a lot better when I have veggies galore. Good Luck to all of you!!!

Hi all humm for the 4th grill fest FH and I are planning:
grilled burgers- I'm so lucky to be marrying a wonderful chef He is grinding our burger meat from yummy steaks
grilled zucchini watermelon
But the hard part---- We always cheat on the weekend with 'real' beer-- we homebrew.....
Tonight, steaks and brocolli and lots of red wine, the work week is over!!!!!
