I am also going to use my maiden name as my middle name because I don't have one, so I am excited I will finally have one, because people don't believe me when I tell them I don't have one!!! BUT my fiance isn't too happy about the idea, but who cares its going to be my name, and I'll be using his last name!

I think that's what I'm going to do. Either that or hyphenate. I have to see if my firm can make my email address just my FH's last name rather than hyphenating it. It'd be really annoying for people to have to type: [email protected] vs. just jsmith@work, you know? I'd put my hyphenated name as my signature though.
I have to say, I think it's very funny that your deciding what your name will be based upon your email address!
A girl has to have her priorities I just remember having to type out someone's hyphenated name into an email and it was the most annoying thing ever. I promised I'd never do that to someone else

nope, dropping my name all together. That Z last name that no one can spell, even though it's only 4 letters long, has plagued me long enogh. Middle of the alphabet - here I come!

Re: keeping your maiden name as your middle name
As I've posted before about this.... I'm dropping my last name entirely and I'm 34, well established in my career (even published), own property, pension fund, investments, hold professional degrees, and I'm my Dad's power-of attorney. I make all purchases for him, correspondence etc. as he suffered a very severe stroke 7 years ago. I'm dropping my name and people will adjust.
I decided this three days after getting engaged while in Florence Italy. I was at the Missori Factory (leather) and wanted to buy their 'Kelly bag' (big bucks, my b-day present to myself). Well, it comes with free 24 karat gold embossed lettering of your intials so...
TAH (keeping middle name and dropping maiden)
or
THK ( dropping middle and making maiden my middle)
So I went with TAK.
I joke with FH that if we ever break up he must provide me with a round trip ticket to Italy and enough money to buy a new bag
Do what you feel is more comfortable. My BF dropped her middle and made her maiden her middle.

I was thinking of hyphenating too! I like my unsual cultural last name and not sure if I want to completely give it up!! For professional reasons too! Still thinking about it though!

I am just changing my name. I really do not care to keep my last name.
