kegs!

kegs!

Hi Ladies

I have a question about kegs... we are having our engagement party soon and so far I have about 80 people who RSVPd yes. We are doing mixed drinks, wine and beer.. we are getting kegs because it's easier...

A 1/2 keg has about 240 beers, and 1/4 keg has 120... should we get 2 half kegs or a half keg and a quarter keg? We are getting Sam Summer Ale and Amstel Light. We just want to make sure we have enough beer!

Thanks!!!!!

At our eparty we had about 100 people and got 2 half kegs. We ended up running out at the end of the party and had to get more! (ALthough keep in mind we ONLY got the two kegs, no wine or other drinks and both sides drink ALOT)

I would just do a half. You will still have leftover.

FYI, we went to a July 4th party that had an Amstel keg...it was sooo heavy and thick and not enjoyable all day long in the heat. Sam will be slightly lighter, but I would recommend doing a Bud or Bud Light as another option (couple cases)because not everyone will want to drink Sam and Amstel.

I think if you did a 1/2 and a 1/4 you should be more than fine, that would give you 380 beers and if each of the 80 yes rsvps had 4 beers that would only be 320 beers and remember people will have wine and mixed drinks to choose from too!

I would do 1 half and 1 quater keg...

Just a half keg for 80 people will be 3 beers each, plus you have the quater keg ... and if you are going to have mixed drinks and wine you should be fine!

This sounds good but if you are planning to play beer pong you may need more. I also think having bud light as an option is good because it is not so heavy.

Some distrubitors will take back an unopened keg. check this out when you go. Just be sure not to tap it.

At our E-party we got 1 full keg, and those giant jugs of wine.

90 people.. and it was perfect.

Most adults aren't goign to be drinking 10 beers.

There was a lot left when the adults left - then my friends had an 'afterparty' in my backyard and killed the keg around 3am.

was it a half keg? or bigger than that? I don't think I have ever ordered a full keg, how many beers was in it?

it was a full keg.

Honestly I really don't remember how many beers was in it - we had our e-party when we first got engaged in Sept 2008.

But the end of the night after older guests left there was like 3 tables of beer pong going on in my backyard and the keg made it to around 3am. (Party started 1pm)

I hope my party is as fun as that!!! We definitely want to play drinking games so maybe we will do 2 half kegs to ensure we have enough beer. Thanks a lot!

We have about 100 people at our engagement party and we have 2 half Kegs, liquor, Red Sangria, and White Sangria and we ran out of it all. FBIL ran the liquor store and came back with bottles Jameson.

I have a feeling this might happen!!!

We got big bottles of rum (5), vodka (1) , tequila (2) , wine (5 big bottles), to make pina coladas, margaritas, mojitos, mai tais, plus all this beer.... and I am still afraid we will run out! i guess we shall see!

A keg has between 150 - 200 beers - depending on the cup size and Keg stands! lol

I agree - we had about 90 people at our e-party and while we had some other things (FFIL got 10 - 12 other cases of beer and we made Sangria and had wine) we had about HALF of the keg left over! I think you're fine with one, but if you want two, i would get a half and 1/4.
