Keilbasa as a Chafing Dish

Hi,

Ok, we've upgraded our cocktail to the seafood DELUXE and are springing for it by paying an extra $10pp. and I HATE seafood. The cocktail hour comes with EIGHT chafing dishes and all I want is for one of them to be Keilbasa and she refuses! God it makes me so mad! She already nixed the Spiderman Ice Sculpture idea - don't you think I have the right to some polish sausage?? Help me hear ladies!

Re: Keilbasa as a Chafing Dish

I'm laughing too - my husband is a spidey fan (though he didn't request spiderman ice sculptures)

By 'she', you mean your fiancee? I'm all for the personal touches that make the wedding more about the two of you, but personally I'd steer clear of the keilbasa (and spiderman sculpture).

Though I'm a huge seafood fan so I'm a bit biased Though I guess if you're a huge fan of Kielbasa, one chafing dish isn't that much to ask.

Aren't there things that you both enjoy that you can incorporate?

I agree with Lisa. I like Kielbasa but when I think about, I think of a BBQ.

Re: Keilbasa as a Chafing Dish

not much can make me laugh when i am at work, but.....this one did it!
Geeze man, get some nads. if you want sausage (although i think it's gross) then have your darn sausage. sorry girls, i know it isn't quite as civilized, and i hate to disagree with you, but this is HIS day as much as hers! But, i do have to say, compromising on the Spidey sculpture was a good idea, that would have been a bit tasteless, but with the sausage, well, i bet a bunch of people will be happy you added it, especially the ones that don't like seafood.

Re: Keilbasa as a Chafing Dish

hahahaha....joro i agree with you - it is disgusting..... but one dish (that the groom loves) is not going to make or break the wedding....if it's that important to you, then have your sausage....

but please steer clear of the spiderman sculpture!! hahaha

Re: Keilbasa as a Chafing Dish

How about serving the sausage in the bridal suite, then you can have quietly, without ruining the elegance of the affair?

Re: Keilbasa as a Chafing Dish

First of, I love your screen name!!

Second, if you want kielbasa, then I think you should have it. It's your wedding as much as your FI's. I doubt your guests will think its not elegant and I am pretty sure you will not be the only person that eats it. Just for easy handling, I would ask the catering hall to have it sliced into bite size pieces.

Re: Keilbasa as a Chafing Dish

Hey, who am I to judge, but since you are paying XXXX amount of dollars for your wedding, you should be able to have what you want.

Would you consider having it as a passed item with toothpicks or something?

Re: GottaLuvSpidey...

Hi,

I'm actually not getting married at Oheka Castle. I just like to post funny messages so my fiancee can read them when she logs on. The posts are true arguments we have but the rest of what I wrote in my profile is a falsity. Sorry if this disappoints anyone, but I as I said these are true arguments we have, its just I want to protect for privacy.

Re: GottaLuvSpidey...

I would let you have kielbasa- if you are doing it bacause you really like it, but if you are doing it because you think it would be funny to have a chafing dish filled with Polish Sausage at your wedding I would probably say no. We have the option of having kielbasa at our cocktail hour too..

Re: GottaLuvSpidey...

Just have to say that I do really love Keilbasa and i do really think its ridiculous that this has to be a debate between FW and I. It's ONE chafing dish out of SO much food and I know a lot of people on my side who love it.

I post these things to make people laugh, smile, etc. and though they are funny, they aren't jokes.
