Re: GottaLuvSpidey...

I vote for the kielbasa. my husbands friend's wife surprised him by having two hockey sticks crossed in front of a net for their ice sculpture, I thought it was cool!

Since you love kielbasa, then I htink you definitely deserve to pick one chafing dish. Good Luck!

Re: GottaLuvSpidey...

Alright - even if it wasn't a joke, it really is a funny thread.

And I'm a classy kind a chick who IS having kielbasa at her wedding at her FH's request.....glad to do it for him. He loves the stuff, so hopefully he'll get to eat it. And if it makes my wedding seem like a good ol' fashion ho down rather than an elegant affair, so be it!

The poor guy has been shot down by me the few times he tried to make wedding decisions, so it's the least I could do!!

p.s. I love it too!!!!

Re: GottaLuvSpidey...

I really don't see what the huge deal is here. IMO, one chafing dish is not going to set the tone of the wedding. I've been to many weddings where they have served pigs in a blanket, and while I'm not a huge fan of them, and I don't think they exactly scream 'classy' I don't walk away from the weddings that serve them saying, geez, how tacky was that? I say go for it, it's not a common dish at weddings, and some people might be happy to see it there.

Re: GottaLuvSpidey...

I think you should go for the keilbasa only if there is sauerkraut to go along with it.

Re: GottaLuvSpidey...

Wait is this a joke or not?

I would have to definitely side with her on the Spiderman Ice Sculpture- however....

Kielbasa would absolutely be ok with me! Does she have any idea how many people LOVE kielbasa??!!

I cannot spark up the grill for a BBQ without throwing on some kielbasa as an appetizer. I know, I know your wedding isn't a BBQ, but you'll see that while people do appreciate getting to eat all the fancy schmancy hors d' Oerves, they will also load up on all times favorites that they are familiar with. Even Pigs in a blanket!!!

Thanks for the help ladies but as you all know, what she says will go in the end anyway. It's her world, I just live in it.

Re: Keilbasa as a Chafing Dish

I still think you should be able to have the kielbasa. I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy it. Your wedding should have what you BOTH want. But I suppose you have to pick and choose your battles.

Re: Keilbasa as a Chafing Dish

Hey wall climber,

What a sense of humor! With or without kielbasa your wedding is going to be wonderful because you are there with the woman you love - forget the sausage. Your FW is one lucky girl.
