Kids or No Kids At Reception

Kids or No Kids At Reception

Would you like tohave a reception with kids there, or adults only and y!

My opinion, I want to have kids there. All my cousins have kids and my sister has a 1yr old, and I would never think to not have them be a part of my day.

we're only having kids that we're very closely related to (FH's niece and nephew, my dad's daughter, my cousin's kids, etc) ... we're not having kids that we don't have any emotional attachments to.

for you, it sounds like with kids is better. Find out what your RH offers for kids- maybe that will help you decide

13 is our cutoff age.

ETA: We just cant afford to have all the kids... all the kids under 13 is about 30 people... we already have 329 people on our list

Have the kids!!!!! This is always a mixed opinion topic but If you want them then have them!! I have allot of nieces and nephews and could not have imagined my day without them. They were so cute the day of and my 4 y/o nephew was soooooooo excited to get dressed up like his daddy.

the only kids that are invited are my nieces & nephews, my brothers kids. as much as i wanted an adult only reception i can not imagine them not being there.

i also feel that since FH has seen them from the day they where born, he knows them & they know him very well.

Both FH and I are the oldest in our families, first to get married. I have a few cousins who are younger, but I'mnot close with them... and even my older cousins probably aren't being invited since i'mnot close with them either, just aunts and uncles. SO, kids at the wedding don't make sense for us. But if we had a lot of kids in our families we were close to, we'd invite them. Sounds like it would make sense for you, so if you want them there then go for it!

It's definitely a personal preference and you'll get tons of mixed opinions, but I vote have kids. Just because they are invited doesn't mean the parents will bring them. I've seen people get very offended when their kids aren't invited, my dad being one of them and then don't attend at all.

11 is our cut-off. We don't have many under the age of 10.

we don't have any young kids in our family that we're close to - we're both the oldest in our family and our cousins don't have kids - or the one cousin that does have kids lives 8 + hrs away so I've never even met them....but if we did have kids we were close to, i'd probably not be able to imagine the wedding without them and would invite them...

I wouldn't mind kids being at the wedding, but I really don't have many that will be apart from my 1 ring bearer (the other one will most likely not be at the reception) and my flower girl. I know FH may have some relatives coming from Europe that may or may not bring there kids as well (school is still in session at that time).

we're only having my immediate cousins and my FH cousin's 2 children. It gets too expensive, plus the parent's won't be able to fully enjoy their time if they're running around after their children.

I voted yes to kids.. but only those of immediate family (which is like 10 kids total). On my invitations I added Adult Reception immediately following. I like the idea of having kids I love...who are family at a huge event. Probably b/c I remember being at some weddings when I was young and had an amazing time...some great memories.

We're only having children that are in the bridal party........so that's a whole 3 children - my two nephews (RB's) and my best friend's daughter (FG).

I wrote on my invitation Adult Reception...Personally I didnt feel like a night wedding was a place for children to be...but its a personal choice

The only kids that will be at my wedding is both mine and FH nieces and nephews. Other than that NO WAY!! In total there will be 6 kids. 3 from my side and 3 from my FH. Guests are not allowed to bring their kids...
