are your FG's wearing makeup? Just curious ... I hate little girls in makeup.

No offense to anyone who likes it...but it gives me the creeps when I see little girls with a face full of makeup ...
at the most my FG (who'll be 3) will have her nails polished. But that's all

Agreed. My FG's are not wearing any makeup - outside of lip gloss and nailpolish cause that's what they wear now anyway (ages 5 & 7).

I have a 10 year old jr. BM and I think maybe nail polish, a little lipgloss and MAYBE brown mascara (so her eyes pop a little in pictures) No blush or heavy eye makeup.

VERY LIGHT - she'll be 8 for the wedding.
I'm thinking clear nail polish, lip gloss (flavored!), and maybe some glitter.
She's so beautiful as is, she doesn't really need it, but I want her to feel grown-up and special because she is.

One of them did and one didnt... The older of the two had a light amount on... I see nothing wrong with it, they actually love putting make-up on. My jr. bridesmaid also wore make-up.

Just to add, I don't think lipgloss or nailpolish is bad..
I think the answer is age-relative..
An older FG or Jr. BM (8 and up) can look cute with a little makeup .. and yes, it makes them feel grown up and special.. But under the age of 5, it just looks weird to see them with anything more than gloss or polish..
JMO, of course

I agree with Felicia....but I think if this is something we definetly do not want, then we should speak to their moms...

My FSIL and I are in full agreeance! LOL My future nieces love to play with makeup - but they look like little clowns when they wear it - that is their playtime. To paint them up to look like little women, disturbs me on many levels - as it does my FSIL.

Re: Kids wearing makeup ...
Sorry, but there's nothing wrong with it if the parents are ok with it. It's a day to play dress up for them basically. I agree 3 year olds would look rediculous in make up, but a girl that's 8+ years old might want some lipstick or something. When everyone else around her is getting all primped up, I don't know how you could complain that they might want to also.

Edited to say I think it's creepy if they're getting the works like anything that involves eye makeup, foundation, powder, blush. Maybe just a dab of some lip gloss or something.

My FG will be 7...she will get her nails done with us the day before and she will probably have little lipgloss or something. No eye makeup...maybe a dab of blush. She will feel grown-up!

I agree w/ Mr. Hostility.
I was in wedding with a 6 year old flower girl. She came to the hair salon with us & loved it. and when we went to do our makeup at home she wanted to also.
I think the Bm did put too much on her, ( her mom took the mascara off) but she was so excited to have lip gloss , nail polish, blush & eyeshadow.
I used to where it for dance recitals( my mom's matte red lipstick- ew) so, I don't think there is a problem with it if she wants to, and her mother is ok with it. I would say no red lipstick & no eye liner. I don't think mascara is neccessary either, b/c kids have great eyelashes.
If the child shows no interest, then I'd skip it- they don't really need it, its more for fun.
