hey ladies okay so.. this is kind of a confession... im not engaged yet... but we booked our engagement party and the ring... well it should be comming any single second so i am really really excited. i went with to pick out my setting and my stonein january... (and i know his last payment is approaching)... and we booked our party in early february... i know it sounds kind of backwards but we went to chateau la mer.. just for a food tasting.. knowing that we were interested in having our e party there over the summer and we loved the food they told us they only had two to three dates open for this summer so we immediatly put the deposit down... sooooo i guess i just had to confess to you girls that im half way engaged...just havent recieved the ring yet.. i hope no one minds .. i am just as excited as the rest of you! and we do anticipate a 2011 wedding.

im not engaged yet either! we are booking the hall this weekend, and we went 3 weeks ago to pick out the setting. Hes going sunday to pick out the stone!

hello...so what? so many brides to be joined before they were officially engaged.
My ring is still at the jeweler. FH is supposed to go look at diamonds but we keep getting sidetracked. I'm not worried. We've been together forever. We have a house. We may even book the RH 1st unless I get my ring in 2 weeks Whatever. His whole family considers us married anyway.

ahhhhh that's soooo exciting! Knowing the ring is coming!! I remember thinking every little thing that was out of the ordinary 'this is it! This is the day!!!!' awwww enjoy it and congrats on your (future) engagement!

yep!! i picked the setting and LOVE it. Im going crazy without it and everyone keeps asking if i have it yet!!
Soon enough!! I'm def glad im not the only one lol now we'll be insanely excited to share our engagements (officially) lol

Well, you know what? I was also 'waiting for the ring any day now' and still, I was on the forums, looking at magazines and doing my research. And when he did finally propose, I had a pretty good understanding of what I wanted, and its made booking the big vendors pretty easy. Its really the way to go if you have that opportunity, IMO.
So congrats to LIW BRIDE danabella!!!!
Let us know when he pops the question officially!!!

yay.. people are very confused as in they dont know if they should congratulate me or not... because my mother and his mother kind of let the cat out of the bag a little too early about the eparty to close family.. so the other day i heard my mom talking on the phone to my aunt and i guess she wanted to congratulate me.. and my mother said oh dont congratulate her yet she hasnt recieved the ring when she recieves the ring then you can say congrats... i guess that kind of made me feel embarassed it was a little awkward has anything like that happened to you....

no worries, I shopped for rings and considered myself engaged before he officially bought it and asked me. (it was still a surprise-i thought it was coming this summer not this winter) welcome :)
