Kind of bittersweet.....

So last night FH and I were discussing our HM, and I think we've finally agreed that we're not going to be able to go to Australia He really doesn't want to fly economy for a 24 hour flight, and business class seats are almost $10K a piece I was pretty disappointed, because I kind of had my heart set on it, but I understand where he's coming from and I think we jumped the gun too early on where we wanted to go.

The problem is, most HM places would be lost on him because he hates the beach. So to go to Hawaii, or an island or something for our HM would be a waste. We could do that for any other trip, but I want our HM to be extra special.

Soooooooo we were contemplating other options. And I think we've made a new decision:

A cruise.......AROUND EUROPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm really happy with this. We were looking at three different ones and will have to choose between the three. Here are the options:

Cruise 1 - Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia

Cruise 2 - Italy, Greece, Turkey

Cruise 3 - England, Sweden, Germany, Russia, Denmark

I've already been to Italy and Greece, but that was like 10 years ago in HS, and I would go again in a heartbeat.

And the best part is, I think no matter which one we pick, it's going to be AWESOME!!!!!

I like cruise options 1 or 2. That sounds like so much fun!

Sorry about Australia! It seemed like you both wanted to do that very bad! When you brought it up on LIW a few days ago, a lot of girls said the plane ride in economy wasn't very bad... personally, I think it would be a good sacrifice to make because when are you ever going to get the chance to go to Australia ever again.

FBIL and FSIL have been to Greece, Italy and Spain and the pictures were absolutely gorgeous! I think anything will be fun though!

omg that sounds amazing!!!

fh and i talked about this but i am really nervous to do a cruise bc i get raelly seasick...i dont wanna risk having a miserable time on our HM...but i would LOVE to do a European cruise!!

Thanks ladies, I'm really starting to get excited again. I know many people said the ride in economy to Australia wasn't bad, but FH REALLY doesn't want to do it. So I don't want to force him.

Besides, he's never been anywhere in Europe, so I think it'll be awesome. And we'll get the best of all worlds - sunning on the boat and then touring around the cities.

Can't wait to look into more detail with FH over the weekend

Not sure yet. We were looking at one of those travel sites that gives you all of the different ones on the same page. But it'll definitely be one of the big ones.

well that time of year i belive the norwegian Gem will be in europe. she is such a GORGEOUS ship. i was just on her in Feb.

if youre willing to cruise a few months after your wedding, theres a new ship on ncl called the EPIC. theres a 14 day cruise that docks out of florida for like 1200$. the EPic will have crique de soleil and blue man group. thats the route we are taking instead of a cruise to europe.

That sounds very cool. But we've already seen Blue Man Group on Broadway and one of the Cirque shows in Vegas.

Sorry that the Australia trip didn't work out I had my heart set on going there for our honeymoon for YEARS (like, before FH and I even got together, LOL) but the amount of time we'd need to take from work just wouldn't make it possible. We'll be going in a few years, when we'll both have extra weeks off from the job.

On the bright side, those cruise options sound AMAZING and you guys will definitely have a great time. Had your FH ever been to Europe, or just you?
