Kind of nervous.... meeting with Mortgage people for first time today!

Kind of nervous.... meeting with Mortgage people for first time today!

I am so nervous, it is not like I never paid a mortgage. I inherited the house from my Mom and dad who have passed away. i am buying out my sister for her half of the house. I am so nervous. I have meet some pretty weird people regarding this, things people do not know how to do... we went to the home show a few weeks back and one who did not know his a$$ from his elbow made it sound like it was impossible to get my name on the house, when the house is free and clear, and my sister is signing over the deed to me. So far we are meeting with a company that seems to know what they are doing. How long is the process going to take- from start to finish- is it just a lot of paper work and signing? Wish me luck tonite!

Thanks! I have all my bank statements, w2 from last year, check stubs etc.

If you have any kind of retirement funds, IRA's, etc, bring those statements along as well. It'll show you have more assets. Don't be nervous. Depending on the company, it can be a pretty quick (and painless) process.

We were there for 4 hours!!!!!!!! I thought we would never eat dinner! We got preapproved!! YIPEE! Now all the paper work begins! I am so overwhelmed!
