So FH and I have been talking for a while. And much to my dismay... we might not be getting married in 09..
Since my plans for graduating this semester didnt quite work out, and him finding a job isn't going easy. We decided to hold off on everything for a while at least. Even though all I want to be is his wife. (maybe we could elope.. lol) We might get married in 2010. I really dont want to, but I dont want to get married while I'm still in school. So since this topic isn't closed for us, I still believe there is hope that I can get married in 09. Well wish you all the best. I'll still be around. Happy Planning!!!

i am on the same board as yoU! im suppose to graduate next semster and my dad wants me finish ALL my schooling b4 i get married...ugh! we will see what happens
Well good luck with everything definately keep us posted and shes right even if your not going to get married in 09 doesnt mean you cant stay around here on the 09 board!!

you better stay on the 09 board.... to keep up with your planning hehehe nothing wrong with pushing it back a year to get school done and find a job.. etc.... you know you will be his wife.. that's the most important thing, no matter what the DATE is that it happens!

Things will work out...if you need that extra year to get settled and get things in order just do it...or like you said elope!!! We originally wanted to do that! I wish you luck and I hope you stay on the boards!

the only reason why it's pushed off was because this semester i was suppose to be graduating with my A.S then 1 1/2 years more and finish my B.A, but one of my credits didnt transfer from my other school, so because of one class my life is pushed back a whole half year, and wedding another year.. ugh!!! things can never be that easy...

i know how you feel. i should be graduating with my b.a next year (may 09) but when i transferred schools they screwed up my schedule and now i wont graduate till the earliest dec 09. i contemplated pushing back the wedding as you are now, but i am so amazing grateful for my parents, because they are going to pay for the wedding so we didnt have to wait another year. otherwise we most likely would be getting married in 2010. i really wish you the best and hope it all works out!

I'm sorry to hear this, I hope you won't leave the 09 board regardless of what you decide. FH and I decided we wouldn't get engaged until I had finished grad school and started my career and I'm so glad we waited. It will all work out for you too.

OMG im sooo sorry to hear this. Its probably better to wait and in the end, you will realize its better to finish school and then get married. Good Luck and remember you always have your 09 girls here for you!

my parents originally wanted me to get married after i finished school (i graduate law school in spring 09) but after thinking it through i realized that summer is the bar exam and it's going to be stressful enough... so... we decided to get married a year earlier. it took them a little time to get used to that (they all thought id be getting married right after law school) but it's whats best for us.
you dont HAVE TO wait until school is over, but if its best for you then its just one more year.

Everything happens for a reason sweetie!!! I had to push my wedding back from summer 08 to summer of 09..and with how things are looking financially we may try and do a later summer wedding like Aug or Sept..and I'm not happy about pushing it back again. FH is applying for Court Officer and this whole process has taken over a year already..right now he is in the last stage, but there's no set time on when they will call him so its a waiting game. So because of that, we really can't plan too much for the wedding!!! Its driving me NUTS!! Sorry to ramble, but I just wanted to let you know I can relate to an extent! It really SUX but, hopefully its all for the better. I keep telling myself 'everything happens for a reason'!!
oOo and don't leave the board..I post on the 08 and 09 boards..everyone here is so informative and great. You can never have too many ideas!!!

you can still stay on the broad. Can you do like a civil married and then after school is over you can have a big party and just renew your vows at the RH
