In Jewish tradition you are not allowed to wear diamonds under the chuppa. So I was going to buy a cheap wedding band for just the ceremony and another permanent one.
Today FH was talking to my mom and told her this. She just called me saying that my grandmother has her grandmother's wedding ring that I can use under the chuppa.
Im so floored. This ring was given to my great-grandmother in 1924 by her older sister as her mother (this was her ring) was no longer alive, and my grandmother has had it since my great-grandmother died. Its just surreal that I will commit to FH in 2010 with a ring that has been in my family for at least 5 generations.
My mom was telling me this story and I could hear she was crying.
Sorry so long.

Re: Kinda Speechless
It's so strange for me because I dont have a large family at all, and definatly no substantial history so this is really special.
