So one of my 'customers' is a political bigwig. He requested some computer equipment awhile back to make his life easier so I argued with and finally convinced my boss to order it and keep some on hand (it just made sense to have this stuff and I didn't understand why we didn't have it in the first place anyway).
Lo and behold, the equipment came in today and I got an email from one of my co-workers that it arrived. I wrote him back and asked him to hold one for me that I would be over to pick it up today. He asked if it was for bigwig, and I said yes. He said, oh well, Boss (and one other co-worked) was already here to pick it up and bring it to him!
Really... what an a**hole. Not that I care about kissing this guy's a$$ at all, but it WAS my idea, and MY customer. My boss doesn't get up off his a$$ and leave his office for anything and now he's going out of his way to come to MY building, to MY customer, to bring this guy the equipment I had ordered for him?? Yeah, he's going to go over there and to be like 'Oh, look what **I** got for you!'![]()
So... you know what I did?? I immediately sent the bigwig an email telling him that I managed to get the equipment he wanted and that I would be 'sending' my boss over with it!!![]()
