I called Kleinfeld Bridal to make an appointment and they took all of my information and then said we will need a credit card number from you incase you don't show up for your appointment or you don't cancel within 48 hours. I said are you kidding me and she responded by saying well you can see that appointments are hard to come by and you will be charged $50 in the event that you don't show up or cancel within 48 hours. I told her I didn't need to bothered by that and hung up on her. Are they nuts???????

Re: Kleinfeld
When I went, I knew that was going to be the case, all my friends have gotten their dresses from there....I understand...they are booked, they carry designers that a lot of other salons don't...They are very reputable, and aren't going to charge your credit card, just bc they have your number and you don't show up so now they have your credit card number, that means any store clerk can do that in any store with that thinking....I see why they do it, and I'm not saying I agree with it, but I see why, and I'm fine with it, I trust them with my credit card number

Re: Kleinfeld
My sister and two of my friends bought thier gowns there, as well as me.... I didn't want to go all the way to Brooklyn for my fitting so I was hoping to stay closer to home.
When I went the service I recieved was amazing compared to all of the other salons I visited. Their selection of dresses was unremarkable!!! I didn't mind leaving my cc number when I made the appoitment at all.... I knew from prior experiences that the service I would recieve would be wonderful so I wasn't concerned.... they are extremely reputable and I trust them---- I never for a moment thought they would do something with my cc number.

Re: Kleinfeld
I was there today tried on two dresses and my second one was it! I thought it was alittle unusual with the credit card deposit but I understand that they don't want people cancelling. The staff there was wonderful it was the best bridal salon I have been to! They truly are experts there! I can't say enough wonderful things about Kleinfelds!

Re: Kleinfeld
I went to Kleinfeld back in October and found it odd to leave my CC info. But I did. When I got there I was amazed at the amount of gowns but the service rep I got was horrible. She was very impatient, unpleasant and not helpful at all. I tried on a few dresses but because I was not pleased with the customer service, I left. My grandma and mom were with me and felt the service by this woman was horrible. So for me, Kleinfeld was blah blah blah!

I got my gown at Kleinfelds and I absolutely love it there. I gave them my credit card to hold my appointment without a second thought, because they have the best selection of gowns. Besides, if you're making the appointment, shouldn't you plan on going and not being a no-show anyway? JMO
Same here... I gave my card # to hold the appointment and its not like they don't call to confirm/remind.

I think it's ridiculous to charge someone if they don't show up for an appointment. What if something came up or the person got sick, they have to pay a charge for things happening? That's just crazy.... JMO
This happens all the time, not only with bridal salons but also spas and doctors. If you do not cancel within a certain period of time, then you lose your $.

Re: Kleinfeld
I agree with the other happy Kleinfelds brides. Yes, I thought it was strange at first to leave your CC but they had someone ready and dedicated to working with me on my scheduled time and she was very helpful. She asked for my budget and she only showed me dresses within my budget and was not pushy.
