Kleinfelds and RK Bridal
I went to both stores yesterday. I had a great experience in Kleinfelds. The service was great and I got to try on a ton of dresses. I found 2 that I love but Im not making any decisions yet. I have 2 more appointmnets at other stores.I didnt care for RK Bridal that much. You are only allowed to try on 5 dresses and the shoes and undergarments they provide you with were so dirty. They have a large selection of bridesmaid dresses but they were also dirty, the zippers on some were even broken and we couldnt really tell how they look on. Plus, no one helped us while we looked at bm dresses. I dont think I will be going back there.

Re: Kleinfelds and RK Bridal
I've never been to Kleingfelds, but I went to RK Bridal to try on BM dresses for my friend's wedding. The selection was awesome, but a lot of the dresses were broken and tattered and it made it a little harder to get a feel for what things looked like, but not impossible. All in all I'd say it depends what you're looking for. If it's selection, then RK was good. If it's service and a lot of time to try things on, RK may not be the best place. But the good thing is there are a ton of places to go!

Re: Kleinfelds and RK Bridal
I 've heard nothing but rave reviews about Kleinfeld, my frind got married 6/19/05 and used Kleinfeld she loved the experience. I may stick with them because I need time and patince to pickot a dress.

Re: Kleinfelds and RK Bridal
I definatly tried on more than 5 dresses at RK bridal, but then I went during the week (and maybe my attendant 'slipped' me more dresses?). I have been very impressed with them. But, I work right near there in the city, so it was easy to go for fittings.I've heard only great things about Kleinfeilds, but they were out of my budget...

Re: Kleinfelds and RK Bridal
While I havent been to Kleinfelds I did purchase my dress at RK Bridal. I went during the week and had an extremely helpful sales lady help me. I should add that I was only looking at bridesmaids dresses that came in white for my gown (watters makes some lovely ones).. I printed up photos and she found every single one from the racks.. I do agree about some of them being a little worn.. but... ordered my dress that day (in August).. umm.. was supposed to arrive 10/14.. it didnt.. they didnt call to be like hey it's delayed, but when I called they said it would be ready 10/22.. ok.. 10/22 comes and goes with no call.. I called yesterday.. HEY WHERE IS MY DRESS??
oh.. it's been delayed, it came in but it looks like there was a problem with it so it was sent back.. no exactly sure when we will get it back! but it looks like anyday...and someone will definately call you as soon as it comes in... it's ONE bridemaids dress! not rocket science.. plan ahead ladies if you plan to get your gals dresses from there.......

I went to RK last weekend and tried on both bridal gowns and bridesmaids gowns. I had the most pleasant experience there then I have had at any other salon I have been to so far. Of course I didn't find anything because I never will, but I digress.
sidebar - Ellsie - another private home wedding - yay!

Re: Kleinfelds and RK Bridal
I honestly think you're comparing apples and oranges here. Kleinfelds is an upscale bridal salon, RK bridal is a budget-conscious almost warehouse of sorts. Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking either one. I happen to love RK Bridal and here only great things about Kleinfelds but if you went expecting the same thing out of both experiences you were set up to be disappointed.

I completely agree. RK carries dresses for the 'budget conscious' while Kleinfeld carries dresses above and beyond $1,500.

Definatly. My budget was around $500, and RK bridal was the only place that didn't laugh at me (literally). And since I was planning a wedding in four months, they have 'da vinci' dresses that come in within two weeks.
