wow - I am so very surprised to hear this. My experience at Kleinfeld was so positive - and my budget was much less than yours. I was treated like a princess, they brought dozens of dresses into a private fitting room for me on several occasions, my saleswoman showed me amazing dresses and I ended up choosing a 'dream dress'. I think it really depends on the salesperson and working with someone who understands your specific needs. You should contact the owners of Kleinfeld - you can reach them via the Web site. I'm sure they would want to hear about your experience. All of that said, I am still really surprised and hope you are able to find your 'dream dress' soon!

Try bridal elegance. They have the best prices around ang Phylis is amazing! I dont know why anyone goes there. They are over priced and they dont treat you like a person. Also you have to put a credit card down I was told just to make an appointment so if you miss it they charge you! There are hundreds of dress places try another one. I hope you have a better experience.

y'know it's funny.....my dress experience there was not great.....they seemed determined to shove me into a tacky expensive dress, but they made a veil for me that was great, and they were super nice about it.
Still, that is awful to be treated so badly when you should be treated like a princess.

sorry to hear you had a terrible experience! i got my dress at Kleinfelds and ended up with a really sweet salesperson - I can't remember her name now, but I think it depends on who you get ....

How about the girls who had a positive experience tell her the name of the salesperson they worked with at Kleinfelds.My Sister bought her dress from them.
Most brides go there because they have such a vast selection of dresses to choose from.
I on the other hand went to Bridal Reflections, and they bent over backwards to make me happy.

sorry that happened to you!!! i had the most AMAZING, memorable experience there... i met the designer (kirstie kelly for disney fairytale weddings- she is lovely), she is altering the design of the dress for me to make it an original as a gift... it was incredible. i was introduced to all the staff there, including all the people on the tv show... they treated me like i was a famous person! i guess it really depends on who your salesperson is... for me is was great, i'm sorry it wasn't for you!!!

I also had an amazing experience at Kleinfelds. I met the owners and Randy at a runway show and they had me at the store the next day and i bought my dress on the spot (a pnina tornai) she measured me herself and everybody was fantastic. I worked with Jennifer, a tall slim girl who was absolutly amazing.

In fact, we went back and got the MOG dress there also (Pnina Tornai as well)

Im sorry you had a bad experience, but i agree with some of the other girls, please write to Ronnie Rothstein and let him know. He is the owner and is the sweetest man ever

I agree about salespeople. My sister and I went on the same day. Our appointments were with different people about 2 hours apart.

her lady - FABULOUS!!!! She had a dressing room in a more private area and treated my sister like a queen. My sister got her dress from there and has had a wonderful experience.

My dressing room was in a very cramped space. My lady had an 'I know better than you' attitude about EVERYTHING. Sure, she did point me in the direction of a dress style that better suits my body, but she was no nasty and 'I told you so' about everything.

When my first dress trying experience was over, my sister was like 'I wish you had my girl'. She said if our positions were switched she never would have gotten a dress from them

I worked with Jennifer too and she was really sweet. She did everything she could, but I just didn't end up getting my dress there, but my experience was fine.

i can't describe the burning hatred I have for Kleinfelds! My old crusty crotched saleswoman dragged 3 dresses in on the ground & told me basically I was SOL & she had nothing else in my price range (i ended up spending $5500 elsewhere) ??

She kept leaving the room & I heard her chit chatting with co workers about nonsense while I was standing in the dressing room in my underwear!!!!!!!

I heard her mumbling about another bride to a co-worker right outside my door, i was so furious I got dressed, walked out & said NEVERMIND. My appt lasted a total of 30 min. Ill never go back.

Had a great expecience at Kleinfeld. My salesperson Rosaria Schinao was great, she worked with my style and budget.

The only suggestion I can make to you, if some one has not made it already, is if you have a particular designer in mind, go to their salon exclusively. You'll have less of that meat market experience and a more personal one with some one who knows the designer inside out. I Loved Kenneth Pool, so I went to Priscilla of Boston and tried on his platinum collection. I got personal service from some one who knows his designs...
