so one of my FGs is receiving her first holy communion the week before the wedding. my godmother (her mom) emails me to see if we can make it. part of me wants to say yes, because it will give us a day off from worrying, another says no because i'll be too busy doing last minute stuff. what would you do?

I would go. It'll get your mind off the stress for a day, and like Colleen said, you have enough notice to plan.
I think since its enough notice in advance, you can work around it and try to make it.
I would go. They would probably understand if you didn't, but I would still go. I mean, she IS going to be there for your wedding the following week.

i would go especially since she is also going to be a part of your wedding. If there is a party after you can always go for alittle then leave but I think it would mean alot to the girl and her fam.
