LABOR DAY WEEKEND BRIDES...How's the planning going?!

There are quite a few of us on the board now, thought it would be nice to have a thread for us.

We're almost at the 7 month mark...how is everyone holding up?!

Re: LABOR DAY WEEKEND BRIDES...How's the planning going?!

I'm not worried about the rain at all. I always remember Labor Day weekend being beautiful weather. I just can't worry about things I have no control over, ya know?

Planning is going well...feeling a little pressure for certain things - since we switched up all of our original plans. But I've been enjoying it so far.

I'm going to look at BM dresses tonight with 2 of my BM's. Soooo excited!

Re: LABOR DAY WEEKEND BRIDES...How's the planning going?!

I have all the major things done. Booked hotel room, honeymoon, church, limo. flowers, photo, video,my dress, moh and bridesmaid dress, picked out my ring, finshing up favors, have aisle runner, toasting flute, FG dresses, Fg baskets, my shoes, veil, tiara.

All I need to get are my invites(I already know which ones), FH ring, debating whether or not to get trumpeteers. hair/makeup, I have a trial in 2 weeks.

I wish my Matron (my sister) lived closer to me and my cousin too. But I am very grateful to have my two dearest living so close. We're going to the salon where I bought my gown - Paradide Bridal in Patchogue.

I sent them all about 20-25 dresses...they all seemed to pick out the same ones!! Yay! Though, I would have been fine if they picked out 4 different dresses - so long as they are the same color, length and fabric - who cares! I want them to look and feel sexy on that day too.

Re: LABOR DAY WEEKEND BRIDES...How's the planning going?!

The next major thing to tackle is the HM and invites. I haven't found anything I love so I'm probably going to make them myself with the help of a friend. We know where we want to HM, so we just have to book it.

I think everything else is little enough, that we'll be fine. I hope.........

Re: LABOR DAY WEEKEND BRIDES...How's the planning going?!

I am getting married on Labor Day. I am nervous about the weather. I hope it is a beautiful day. I still have alot to do, but I have a coordinator so it makes things easier.

Re: LABOR DAY WEEKEND BRIDES...How's the planning going?!

Ok girls, we can't worry about the weather or the traffic. I think its all stressfull enough without worrying about the things we can't control. It will be beautiful no matter what - may eternal optimism shining through :)
My marathon planning weekends have been pretty successful. So far I have:

Dress: Manale
Ceremony/Reception: Vanderbilt Mansion
Limo: Royalty (booked today)
Hair: TaraLe (booked today)
Makeup: Jacqueline Nicole (booked today)
BM Dress: Siri (99% sure)
Band: Live Wire
Photographer: Jamie Collins
Video: Wild Rose
Flowers: FlowerMichele
Hotel: Marriot Islandia (probably)

I'm in the process of finishing the STDs, officiant, veil, favors, invitations, FG Dress, dance lessons, guestbook, wedding rings, registry, toasting flutes, BM gifts, reception cards, menu, programs.
FH has to pick honeymoon and tuxes.

I feel like I'm moving right along!!!

Re: LABOR DAY WEEKEND BRIDES...How's the planning going?!

Any of you NOT do STD's? We decided against them for various reasons so we'll be sending the invites out in June.

Re: LABOR DAY WEEKEND BRIDES...How's the planning going?!

Not doing STD's for personal reason basically just don't feel it's necessary....everyone knows the date. ....sending out invites in June.
