i'm really in the same boat. i've totally found that if you have too many 'friends' that when you really have to question loyalty and stuff. i prefer my circle to be small and trustworthy. but i must admit i totally love having all of you girls to chat with!

I feel the same way! I used to have a big group of friends, we've all slowly gone in our directions and I was sad about it at first, but have found it's better to have a few really good friends than a lot of so-so friends!

And I love being able to come on here and chat with you all as well! Even though I don't do it as much as some!

yeah I don't have friends really. I have a few acquaintances that are really FH's friends but I don't know if I can call them real friends. I can deff count my friends on one hand and I'd still have fingers left.

I love chatting with you girls and bonding. I mean we vent to eachother about things we might not even tell people around us every day and thats pretty cool. sometimes we will talk about something on here and something i see or something that happens the next day will remind me of a LIW bride.

for instance...every day on my way to work I pass a store called 'the squirrels nest' and it makes me think of heather

Can I just tell you, the other day, I was at my mom's, and there was a squirrel eating her pumpkin in front of the house. She was PISSED but I was thinking, I have to get this picture! I had it because it was the day we got my tiara.

And I do not care what Danielle says, Heather, I do like you.

I think it's important to value the close friends you have, but it's also nice to meet new people.

I moved to NYC from LI and met lots of new people at work and through other people. I moved to NJ and met lots of new people again, at work and through people.

As I'm about to turn 35, I no longer enjoy bars or lounges or concerts/shows in the city. I know that sounds awful. My idea of a fun time is a few girls going out for dinner or maybe hitting a store or seeing a movie.

I feel like that sometimes too but it is really better to have a few really good friends then 50 acquaintances..

I agree with you. I used to have a much bigger social circle but as I got older, most of us ended up going our seperate ways. It's not usually something you plan but rather something that just happens naturally. But like you said, I'd rather have a few really close girlfriends than a whole bunch of friends that I know I can't count on.

Oh and I was just talking last night to FH about how happy I am that I have you guys to talk to. I was so sad in the beginning of the engagement bc I had no one to really share things with. My mom is super busy with work, FMIL is very old fashioned and thinks I'm putting too much thought into all the little things- no one will notice them and my friends are either married with kids and busy OR single and not interested in the whole planning process. I have a few friends *(MOH and a few BM's) that take the time to act like they are interested! But it's really you guys that I share everything with. So for that- I love you all!

P.S: I love squirels too!

Glad you're feeling better, you can tell by the tone of your posts that you are a good friend to the people who've stuck around and to the ones who've left your life - well, it's their loss.
