until I realized that it's MR. and MRS., so the guy's name would HAVE to go first since 'Mr.' is first, right?

You can tell them not to say 'Mr. and Mrs.' first if you want your name first. Otherwise, yes, his name would go first.

I would like them to say 'Mr. and Mrs. Todd XXX' at our wedding. My FI's last name is 5 syllables. I don't need them messing that AND my name up at the same time.

I like....for the first as husbdand and wife.....
