Ladies are you seeing FH the day....

of the wedding before the ceremony to take pics?

We were thinking of doing some pics before the wedding ceremony but does make the first LOOK
lose some of its luster?

I am not superstitious, hell we live together already BUT part of me says YES we should do pics before the ceremony so we dont lose time with our guests..Being

What are you all doing?

We are seeing each other before the ceremony. We won't have any time to take pictures since we're getting married at the reception hall.

we are taking pictures before, and we are getting ready in our house together, Alot of people think it takes something away that day, or its not tradtional, or its bad luck. But honestly so many people who dont see eachother before end up divorced, i dont think it will jinx my marriage at all

I want to have pictures taken before the ceremony for the same reason but people are soooo supersticious! They keep telling me not to do it because it's 'bad luck'.

I'm doing it anyway -- go for it!

We are doing pics before the ceremony at the RH because we're both obsessed with CH and don't want to miss it. I think it will be just as special seeing each other for the first time. Plus it will be just the 2 of us there, so it will be a private moment.

We want to keep with the tradition, as we are getting married at a church.. and probably won't have much time BEFORE that to see each other and get pics... but we are picture fanatics so I can see why the before the ceremony idea would be a good one

DH and I saw each other beforehand and we were glad we did. Although we had lots of photos taken beforehand, there were lots of group shots with extended family and friends that we took during CH. No way would we have been able to take as many photos had we not seen each other before. It worked out well for us.

We are not seeing each other before ceremony. We factored in time between the ceremony and RH for pictures.
But if thats what you want to do, go right ahead

we are going to try to take pics before the ceremony.... since we are havin everything at the same place, theres really no time in between anyhting to get pics donw without missing some of the party....

We're sticking with tradition too. One of my friends was married in September and she had to take her pics before too. The photographer made sure he got pics of the grooms face when he saw his bride and she was thrilled with those pics.

I did and it was the best decision.. our photographer set up a first meeting for us, we could have done it alone but we included our parents and bridal party... it was awesome, DH turned around with a huge smiled, we cried, hugged, everyone cheered... for me it was better than seein his face down the long aisle. To be honest, I was so busy coming down the aisle - looking at our guests, my grandfather, etc, that I almost missed DH! Plus, all of our pictures were done so we went to our cocktail hour, greeted all of our guests and spent the reception partying with our friends

I asked my relatives and friends who are divorced what they did just out of curiousity and more as a joke... none of them saw each other before - so much for that assumption!
