We were thinking of doing some pics before the wedding ceremony but does make the first LOOK lose some of its luster?
I am not superstitious, hell we live together already BUT part of me says YES we should do pics before the ceremony so we dont lose time with our guests..Being

Not knocking anyone that is or has seen each other before.... But we are NOT... I cant do that.. I dont believe in it, for me... I want him to see me for the first time walking down the aisle to marry him... I dont want to see anyone before the reception, I want the cocktail hour to be for pictures and then some for us to just relax and take it all in ...

We chose not to see eachother before hand! It was very important for our 1st time to be when I walked down the aisle!!
I think its a very personal choice and that you should do whats right for you and only you both!!

It's important to the both of us to go the traditional way and see each other the first time when I'm walking down the aisle. It's fine too because we have plenty of time for pictures between the ceremony and cocktail hour. Otherwise I could see why people would chose not to do that.

we will take pictures b4 everything, and get it all out of the way ...i want everyone including myself to enjoy cocktail hour, b/c that is the best part :)

we are obsessed with pictures - so we dont want to be rushed with them - we will see eachother before the ceremony.....at first i was iffy about it BUT FH made a good point and told me that he wants to be the first person to see me - he doesnt want to have to share that with a room full of people. he thinks its more special to see me alone and that way he'll actually get to talk to me the photographer/videographer will catch the moment and its pretty sweet and romantic to see - more emotional i think.....i am pretty sure we will both be way less nervous being that we have already seen eachother.....and the best part is that we will get to go to our cocktail hour!! hopefully we will be able to eat a little something and greet a lot of our guests so we dont have to go around to all the tables during the reception. we want to party!!! the tradition is nice - but we are paying alot for our day - and we want to get the most for our money - we get more quality time with the photographer and we get to be at the CH - which we are paying for! good luck with whatever you decide!

We saw eachother before the ceremony, at Old Westbury Gardens .... and I think it was the best decision would possibly could have made.
It calmed us both to get that nerve wracking moment out of the way early in the day, and I think we were both able to enjoy the ceremony more.
And as it was, even with taking BP & family pics before the ceremony, we still missed some of our cocktail hour and had to take some pics during the reception too.
After much debate FH and I are going to see each other the day of before we acutally walk down the aisle for pictures.
Since we're having everything at Russo's it's hard with no time in between the ceremony and receptinon.
We want to enjoy the CH and also our photographer is making it so that we are surprised and that it's still a special moment for us.

I'm not meeting up with FH before the ceremony...I want the moment that I walk down the aisle to be as climactic as possible...it's not about superstition for me, it's just about the reaction that I want from him..

We are taking our pics before I walk down the aisle...I just want to be done with pics and really enjoy my wedding, I think it will still be special because my photog said he will set it up where it is a build up until we see each other and my RH has a great stair case that I can see myself walking down to him to see him.

Were getting married at the RH and we were going to see eachother beforehand but the more I thought about it, the more it bothered me that he wouldnt see me for the first time on the aisle. So were both going to get all the pics with the BP out of the way before the ceremony and then take our pics together during cocktail hour. I feel like the first time we see eachother should be on the aisle and that would be ruined if we did it any other way.

taking all the pics so we can make our CH.. this way we can greet most of our guests also during the CH!!

we're seeing each other. the photographer is going to set up a 'first look' thing somewhere in the house - i'm getting ready upstairs & him downstairs...
we live together too - so we figured why make things complicated. It also allowed us to save money on the limo - we can all take one limo as a group instead of needing 2 separate so he can't see me...

ugh i go back and forth with this decision.. i think fh can go either way .. he just wants to 'do what he is supposed to' which in his head is take pics at cocktail hour..even though its ok to take beforehand now..
we have no time inbetween ceremony and cocktail hour so it worries me. .. plus my reception hall is pretty inside but not much outside .. worried we wont get as many pics if we dont go to a nice park beforehand but i also do not want to count on outside park pics if it rains..
