I plan on sending out the invitations the day after Christmas.
Is an RSVP date of January 20th enough time for both them to send it back and for me to do what I have to do in time? (seating charts, final counts, etccc)

Re: Ladies help!
hmm. toughie!!
you wanna give yourself as much time as possible to get that seating chart and place cards in order, so maybe if you make it one week earlier, that would help?
Hopefully most of your guest will get the invite, check the calender, and mail them back right away (fingers crossed!!!)

Re: Ladies help!
That should be fine. My RSVP is 1 month before the wedding. You might have some delays in getting responses back - but you will still have a week or two to track people down if anything. Plus, between them mailing it back, giving them atleast a few weeks is fair.

well for our engagement party, everyone pretty much responded in like a week or so. there were only a few people I had to track down.

Re: Ladies help!
you can always send them out a few days before, this way they will get them right after christmas and it will give them a few extra days to send it back.
Having the RSVP date one month before is definatly the average time frame.

I think it should be fine. Do most of your guests know you moved the wedding up?

Re: Ladies help!
Now I'm worried. Mine are going out this week with an RSVP date of 2/7 for a 2/27 wedding. I am 90 sure who is will be unable to come making it a little easier
