LADIES, I NEED YOUR HELP!
Hi, I`m new to this website and was hoping you can help me out. I am planning a wedding in June of this year ( I know I`m crazy!) and am in desperate need of a place? I am having a small wedding about 60-80 people and I`m looking for a place which will cater to such a small number of people. I have tried a few places but was turned away because I don`t have about 100 or more. I`d like a place on the water if possible and since I haven`t done much of the planning as yet, if the place has amenities such as centerpieces etc that would be great- I have so little time. Also, if the place has a nice surrounding for taking pictures and great food that is more important than anything else. Please help me out- Thanks in advance!

TFR0616 - Try the San Souci
I believe they would be willing to host a smaller party. It is a very quaint facility, sort of Victorian, on the water in Roslyn. You are the only affair and they do include centerpieces in their packages (bubble vases with roses). I am sure they would be willing to discuss possibilities with you. However, you might have to be flexible with your date. For instance, they might hesitate to book a small affair for a Saturday evening in June (prime wedding season) if they have the possibility of booking a larger party - they will make more money with the larger party. So, you might have to consider a Friday evening or a Sunday afternoon/evening. Good luck, and let us know if you need help with other vendors, once you get your reception site booked.

I got married at Smithtown Landing Country Club in Smithtown. They have a smaller room that I used for my cocktail hour that they use for smaller weddings. I think it's very quaint -- has a fire place and a deck outside that does overlook the Nissequogue River depending on time of year. They do include centerpieces and cake in their price. The food was excellent. You can check them out at www.lessing.com

You may want to try Danfords on the Sound. It is located in Port Jefferson. I am having my wedding there on a Saturday night and we are only expecting about 80 people. They are putting us in the upstairs room which has great big windows that overlook the water and the coctail hour will be outside on the patio. You can check out their web site at www.danfords.com or call and ask for Nichole (1-800-332-6367 she's at extension 150). She is great to work with and very accomidating. Good luck. If you need more info on them you can email me at [email protected]

We were in the same boat as you. We're only having 80 or so people at our wedding and thankfully, the Riviera in Massapequa was available for a Friday in May. Not sure if they have any openings in June left but they may have a Sunday...who knows? Give them a try. Good luck
