Feeling very overwhelmed with this wedding planning process, thank god for you guys but i have no help around me and FH and I havent been on the happiest terms lately. I know every relationship isnt perfect but, im just not happy like I use to be. We dont do anything anymore and i know we have kids but, he changed alot. I think its part of his job stressing him but he doesnt want to do anything no more ...We use to go out all the time, now all he likes to do is sit home and have drinks, i started thinking is our marriage gonna be like this??????? Maybe the stress of planning the wedding is making every lil thing get to me. Plus my family members stressing me out, planning is supposed to be a happy process..Sorry so long, i just needed to vent b/c i dont know what do

Re: Ladies im........................
Awww hun take a deep breath!!!
Maybe you and FH need to take a quick getaway, if possible, for a day or so to reconnect......If that's not possible, maybe just a date night and go out for a walk on the beach and talk things through. Tell him exactly how you are feeling and be 100% honest and open with him!!
Maybe the stress of the wedding is getting to you so maybe you should take a few days/weeks off and take a breather!

So sorry you're dealing with this- i would suggest talking to him and letting him know how you feel.

Re: Ladies im........................
This is supposed to be a fun process! Maybe you should take a little time off from planning to clear your head, and talk to Fh and tell him what your feeling. Even if you have one night out together once a week like a date night, and maybe things will feel normal again. Its prob just stress from the wedding dont worry!

Re: Ladies im........................
we had a very similar problem recently, and as other girls said, I just talked to him a very honest and not so nice conversation. we both said what bothering us and what would be the worst thing to happen if we can't get over these issues and since then everything is so wonderful. its as if we started fresh and now we're even more in love than ever, if thats possible.
talk to him. it works

Re: Ladies im........................
You are not alone. I am stressed everyday between work, planning a wedding, money and then finding time to focus on my relationship. Another thing that has me worried, not sure if you noticed but at least 2 or 3 girls in the last week have cancelled their weddings...this doesn't help either. Then over the weekend I found out 2 of my friends that I thought have great marriages do not. One is separating because her husband has been cheating the last 4 months and the other friend is having a difficult time financially which is having an affect on the marriage.
Whomever said engagement is the best time of your life had a lot of money, a wedding coordinator and not a care in the world. Don't beat yourself up but the stress could be getting to both of you. Plan an inexpensive dinner for the both of you to get out and do not discuss the wedding during dinner. My FH and I did that Saturday night and we had a good time and laughed. Sunday he asked me if we could start to register....go figure. Hang in there.

Re: Ladies im........................
Definitely take a vaca from the wedding planning....just take a few weeks and try not to even thing about it. Talk to FH and let him know how you feel about the whole going out thing and maybe if possible try to have a little weekend getaway just you two. Good Luck!!

I would take a few days off the wedding planning. Maybe plan a night out with him and talk to him about what you're feeling. Then go from there. Good Luck.

Thanks ladies ...When i try to talk to him, he gets defensive and then it becomes a back-n-forth battle. (you know how men get when you say 'We need to talk') I think counseling will have be to the next step since we have to do it anyway. We been together for 6yrs (2 kids), i dont want to make a lifetime commitment and then im unhappy. Im going to talk to him and see where it takes us wish me luck

I agree with this. A night out.......away from kids, family, wedding planning, everything.
While FH and I don't have kids yet, we do still lead very busy lifestyles. He has a very demanding job and I work two jobs. Then throw our families and friends into the mix and we barely spend any time with just each other. We make it a point to have at least one night every month as a date night with just us. And it doesn't have to be anything big......bowling, mini golf, a movie, etc. Just something to remember why we're getting married.
Might not be a bad idea

Re: Ladies im........................
Try stepping away from the whole wedding thing for a few days. It's so easy to get so wrapped up in it and forget why you are getting married in the first place. Whenever Fh and I start to get a little nuts with the planning we plan a date night. We do some of the stuff we did when we first started dating and it puts everything back in perspective!
Hang in there!

Re: Ladies im........................
I agree with everyone else. FH and I decided that once a week, we will have a night where we don't talk about wedding planning and just hang out together. Its so easy to get wrapped up in the stresses of everyday life, and when you add on planning a wedding, sometimes it just gets to be too much! Try spending some time alone together without the kids and without and wedding talk.
