Within the whole planning process, when you thought about your wedding day, could you actually picture it? Like could you see yourself in your dress with your hair and make-up done? could you see yourself dancing with your DH in the reception hall? When I think about this, it feels so weird... like i can't beileve it's actually going to happen.
this might be a silly quesiotn, but i've been hitting the bottle today.
ETS anyone can answer!! i don't hate! lol

Re: Ladies who are married (and brides to be)
I try to invision it all the time, but I can't do it completely. I was just trying to imagine last night which is probably why I was awake from 2-5 am! i guess it won't be 'real' for me until the day actually comes.

Ever since I fell in love with FH I could picture it happening, and the planning process has made the picture appear more clear, if that makes sense. I can't wait for it to actually happen and to actually experience the emotions of the day!

I was never able to picture the whole thing together...and now that it's over...I can't believe how fast it all went. It was nothing like I imagined it...but perfect in every way!

I can't really picture it! I feel like it will be so surreal!

Re: Ladies who are married (and brides to be)
I've been thinking a lot about this lately too - the whole planning process has been enjoyable, but at the same time I've felt a little detached from the whole thing. When I try and picture myself with the dress, veil, make up, hair... it's TOTALLY surreal, like I can't believe it's happening... 9-1/2 yrs after meeting FH and going through everything we have... it's just NUTS to think about. It blows my mind sometimes. I am more than excited about finally becoming his wife, but right now I'm caught up in the details and want to pull off a great event that people will enjoy (and me too!)

I can honestly say as corny as this sounds I did have a picutre (a fuzzy one though since I didn't know how certain things were) of how it would all look together and everyone having a good time and all. I was surprised that what reality was surpassed my dreams/visions.

It is not a silly question. I really can picture the details we have in place now. I cannot wait for the big day.

This is a great question....I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I always had a hard time picture it, but I'm starting to be able to envision it more now that its getting closer.
Like, I can see myself with a huge smile on my face on the dane floor with Joey but it's all in slow motion. I know this is so corny, but at times, it makes me emotional!
It is not corny. I am sure a lot girls can relate it is just Joey they are dancing with. LOL!

i couldnt picture myself at alll!!! On saturday everything just happened, and so quickly also - there were moments where i thought, OMG I cant believe im throwing the b-okt or that we're cutting the cake, or we're dancing in the middle and the attention is all on us.

I thought about it all the time and I would literally cry. It seemed surreal to me though. I thought that I would be a mess the day of crying. But I was all smiles.

it pretty much went how i pictured it. I mean I thought I would be more nervous and emotional which I wasn't. I thought I would be alive at the end of the night to party it up at the after party which i wasn't but thats about it.

Re: Ladies who are married (and brides to be)
I got married almost 3 months ago...the day goes by so so fast.....i cant believe it has been 3 months it feels LONGER....I always envisioned what the day would look like and how i would look and my girls would look and just everything...and i can say the way i ever imagined it is the way everthing was...it is a surreal moment in time and the best day of your life..it is so emotional and just fun at the same time....do enjoy it though because after the wedding you will miss all the planning and the day...but now i can focus on the rest of my life..
all the girls getting married enjoy every minute

Wow reading all of your heartfelt responses will assist with my dissertation on Pre/Post Bride Experiences!Haha
No seriously, I said from our first date that he was going to be my husband, just didn't envision exactly how this was going to happen.
Great Question!

I am not one that gets all dressed up. I mean I don't even want to wear a veil! lol I do want to have a nice wedding and wear a gown and look beautiful. I'm excited as to how everything will come out. What I'm envisioning is probably accurate, but who knows?

Re: Ladies who are married (and brides to be)
I like to envision it while I'm on the LIRR. It makes me all excited to be getting married. Whenever I hear our first dance song on my ipod I try to picture us dancing lol. Although my thoughts are fuzzy in my head I'm sure it will be different the day of. I'm glad to see everyone else thinks about their day also.
