My doc just put me on antiobiotics, 6 days before the wedding of course!!!! If you are on antibiotics, do you continue taking the pill? TIA!

Thanks just did! She said it's ok to take them, but just use another method as well. Thankfully I'll be done with them by Wednesday!

yes, but you have to use back up. I use vaginal spermicide because my FH hates using condoms (what guy doesn't). Also, it acts as a good lubricant. Just keep in mind that vaginal spermicide can get messy into the next day, so you might want to pack some pantyliners for your undies the next day.
Thanks ladies, one more question though, the antibiotic doesn't affect when you get your period right? For example, you'll still get it the same day/time? Sorry, I'm new at the whole b/c thing.

You keep taking it, but you MUST use a back up method on top of the pill.
i alwyas have and have never had a problem.
you have to use backup protection for the entire duration of that pack that you're using while you take the antibiotics. if i'm not mistaken, it not only makes the pill ineffective while you're ON the medication, but it makes the entire pack ineffective.
