So I've thinking about my wedding month August.. And I'm sort of freaking out since Hurricane Irene in 2011 Was in August!!
So I'm just curious..What made you choose your Wedding Date?! Also What months are the most popular for weddings?

Ladies... Why did you Choose your DATE?
I chose my date (May 25) because it's Sunday of memorial weekend and I could get away with Sunday pricing for technically a Sat. night since everyone is off on Memorial day- I picked May in general because I'm getting my MS degree in Education in December and wanted to have the wedding and honeymoon in the Spring/Summer so that I won't have to take any days of in the Fall if I get a teaching job

We originally wanted our wedding to be in September of 2013. When we were looking at venues we asked for pricing and availability for Sept, Oct, & Nov. A lot of dates were booked already and therefore we had limited selection. Our dating anniversary is Nov. 17 and it seemed like every place we looked at had that date open and for the best pricing. It just seemed like something was telling us to get married on our dating anniversary so we chose 11/17/13

We're getting married on our dating anniversary too! We originally wanted to get married in September but had to push it back because of family issues. It just worked out for us that the venue we liked the most had that date available, like it was meant to be

We liked the idea of early june because the average is low 70's with little humidity and the sun is out for so long! But this spring is making me a bit worried!!

We chose May because it's our anniversary week!! and hoping the weather will be nice by then!
We ultimately picked July 3 (a Thursday) so we could get a lower rate than even a Friday (usually) and also because everybody would still have a 3-day weekend after. I'm glad it worked out this way because we wouldn't have been able to afford a lot of places otherwise.

I chose my date because I wanted to get married in March, since my husband and I met March 29. It was Good friday that day this year so we had to pick a diff date. I just picked the March date that Bridgeview had because I wanted the wedding to be there!

I wanted august but fh doesn't like to be hot so we settled on fall because I don't like to be cold and spring is too unpredictable for me.

Same with me for the 4th! Since everyone will have off for the Holiday its like a saturday but friday prices...which made it affordable. Then all our guests still have the whole weekend. Plus its FHs favorite holiday so I let him have the final say...of course he voted YES! lol

We wanted a Friday or Sunday due to cost. We also wanted October of this year because we love the month. However, the price difference from October to November was drastically more expensive because October is still considered 'wedding season'. We picked 11/10 because it was a Sunday and it's the day before veteran's day so most people will have off the Monday after.

We wanted a Fall wedding. Once we found the venue they only had a few dates available. Friday the 13th (which I loved but FH refused), our date, and 10/25 which is both of our mother's bdays. I actually looked into the numerology for our date and it's a great date to get married for us :)

We knew we wanted to get married in the June/July time frame. Once we went to the hall we saw what they had available and we choose 7/27 cause it sounds like a cool date.

We have no reasoning. I wanted summer. Preferably earlier summer rather then end of July/Aug. we knew we didn't want the 6th or 13th of June because its our mothers birthdays. Westbury manor had June 20th and June 27th both available. FH chose 6/20/14 because its a 'clean, round number' lol

We chose August 2 bc we are both teachers. We wanted time before the wedding to do last minute things (and get tan, lol ) and then have enough time afterwards to relax and go on our honeymoon before school starts up again!

We originally wanted September bc its still warm but not too hot but couldn't afford the venue we loved. So out choice was either pick an 'off season' month and get the venue we LOVED at a price we could afford, or go with September at a place that was just ok. We did January 2nd bc it was the cheapest day being the day after New Years, plus thats normally such a depressing day, now it will be a day to celebrate!! =)

I originally wanted september 2013 because it would be our 10 year anniversary; however, due to cost, that wasn't possible. When we were looking, we were thinking november, but wound up going with December because of the cost and where we wanted to get married. So we chose 12/6 because its the feast day of st nicholas and FH's name is nicholas :)
