Re: Larkfield Manor's prices
Thanks for the support, everyone! We went for the tasting last Friday night and their food is SPECTACULAR! FH and I could not be more thrilled with our choice! Now we just have to wait 15 months for the wedding!

Re: Larkfield Manor's prices
I recently went to see Larkfield Manor and met with Peter. He is the son of the owner, seemed young but knowledgeable. I looked at their floor plans and pictures of what it will look like after the renovation. He was willing to work with us on prices and by making some menu changes we got it down $10 less pp. Did they give you the option to play with the menu? My fiance always jokes that I ask a million questions to everyone, but that's what you have to do. Just keep asking.. what if we offer 1 less dinner selection... what if we offer one less carving station... see what they say! It can't hurt. I was more worried about the construction, what if they don't finish when they plan to? I LOVE the place but that's the only thing I am worried about because we were looking at a date in July 2013.

Re: Larkfield Manor's prices
We just put a deposit down at Larkfield for a Sunday in July 2013 and are going to do a food tasting in a few weeks! We are doing it before our month is up where we can get our deposit back, just in case, but from I've been reading their food is really good and we will probably love it. I'm still concerned what if their construction takes longer then planned........ is anyone else concerned? I'm being paranoid maybe.

Re: Larkfield Manor's prices
Did you talk to them about daytime pricing? I don't know if a daytime wedding is even a possibility for you, but I was offered $60 pp plus grat and tax for a daytime wedding, even on a Saturday. And that way you could have an after-party, and make sure that people don't leave early.

We ended up booking Larkfield and are going for the tasting this month. I haven't heard one bad thing about them and they've been super helpful so far!
I would give a call to check their availability. When we booked in January, we were told that they would be closing in January 2013 and hoping to reopen in April. They were not taking any bookings for May, in case their renovations took longer. I believe June and July were totally booked up, which lead us to August. I would definitely give them a call though.
As for tastings, I didn't realize at the time how common that was. I guess I just assumed every venue holds a showcase. I do still think it's a little odd to book without tasting the food first, but I'm over it
Thanks for the help!!
Congratulations!

My FH and I worked with Pete, and he was nothing but great! We went for our food tasting a while back, but the food was amazing!

Re: Larkfield Manor's prices
Hello, I just went to larkfield manor also. I got a quote of $117.00 for as Friday night. This was with the upgraded menu, and seafooid station(no lobster). We are also looking at other places but we do like the Manor. Please keep me updated. Watermill also has good deals and add a lot of extras. One tip, do not go with your parents to get quotes! Salesmen know your not paying and are not as compassionate .Welcome New Vendors
