Larkfield vs Three Village Inn

Larkfield vs Three Village Inn

Hi everyone, I'm having such a hard time deciding between these two. We want a fall (late October/early November) wedding next year, with tops 90-95 people. We put down a deposit for Larkfield that is refundable within 21 days, but I am sooo torn between these two. My family and friends love Larkfield, and they have a great price and package which means I can have an evening wedding there..and I guess that would make it more 'fun'. But, to me..it's another Long Island catering hall and I really wanted to avoid that. I love their outdoor areas, but not their indoor. Three Village Inn is gorgeous, I'm not too crazy about the outdoor ceremony area & we wouldn't be able to have an evening wedding, it would probably have to be a Sunday or Saturday afternoon..so I'm worried that people might not enjoy themselves as much. Which one of these places do you think would be better for a small, fall wedding?. I've heard great things about both places so I'm really torn. I know that if I went with Larkfield, it might be more for my family & friends than me and my fiance. Any advice or experiences at these two places would be greatly appreciated!.

my personal opinon is Three Village...it's so cozy and doesn't feel like a catering hall..it all depends on what kind of feel you're going for, they are totally different

I'm booked with larkfield and so far they have Ben amazing to work with. We went to a tasting within the 21 day window, and the food was fantastic. I would recommend them 100%! Personally I would only be interested in an evening affair,
So that alone would be a deciding factor for me. Hth

Personally I would say Three Village. See if they will work with you. Tell them where you are at. If it has to be afternoon, plan an after party ;)

Three Village Inn is cozy and nice for Fall. We went there but the reason we didn't like it was because the parking lot is in front of the water-view... we were concerned that the parking lot would fill with cars and then that becomes the view. I'm not sure if it would be filled with cars from our guests or strictly the Marina... if it's just the Marina, there shouldn't bee too many cars in the fall. However, there is nowhere for guests to park anyway so I have a feeling it would fill up.

I also didn't like how there was a tavern inside, we didn't want people going to the tavern because we were not having an open bar.

The room was very nice and cozy though and inside was a very intimate setting.

I would say Larkfield Manor. I'm booked there. And they are so helpful. And the food is amazing.

Larkfield has great food and I personally don't like afternoon weddings so I would def want an evening wedding.

Thank you everyone ! we've decided to go with Three Village Inn. I just looked up the sunset times for that month next year, and the sunset time is 4:30ish, so with the reception ending at 5, I think we'll get a really nice view :). I'm not worried about not seeing the water since it's fall and everything and I wanted to avoid that beach feeling. I am worried about the sound of the cars on the road behind the ceremony though, but fingers crossed for beautiful fall day!
