Laser Hair Removal

I just purchased a groupon for laser hair removal for 6 sessions. It was $89 for a $450 value! The groupon was for Spa Soleil in Selden and I am super excited because I have PCOS so I have a lot of unwanted facial hair. I am excited but am also super nervous of burns... Have any of you ladies had LHR before?! Could definitely use some advice.

Laser Hair Removal

Wow, that's an awesome deal!! At my job (I work for a derm) we do tons of laser hair removal. Only the doctors are certified to do it on patients, but after work all of us do it on each other from time to time. I have a lot of unwanted facial hair, also from PCOS. It definitely takes a couple of times for the hair to completely go away for a longer amount of time. The first time I did it, I didn't notice much of a change. We did it again about 1 month later and my face was so smooth for at LEAST two months. 6 sessions is great to start with and that price is AMAZING. We charge 75 for lip, chin and side burns per visit! If you have any questions feel free to ask or FM me!

Laser Hair Removal

I burned one time and it was so bad because I had full burn circles on my face. This is why it's better when someone who is trained actually does it. We forgot to take it off of the setting for the girl who was a little darker than I was and that caused a terrrrible reaction! Never burned before or after that though.

edited because apparently I said a bad word and it was starred out ;)

Laser Hair Removal

I have PCOS and got LHR!! It was a life changer...my hair was coarse and black...it was so gross...I only went for 6 sessions but it was fantastic. It's not the most pleasant experience, it's kinda like little rubber bands hitting your face but so so so worth it!!

Laser Hair Removal

I got that for under my arms. I did 6 sessions. I guess if I went back some more maybe it'd be totally gone? I still have hair though just not as much. I got burned once and it went away within a few days the marks. just kept putting aloe on it. My girl did it on her face and I never heard any bad stories so I assume it went well for her.

Does anyone know what the average tip for each session is? Should I tip per session or at the end?

I actually never tipped. I think it's like a dr's office...you don't tip your dr at the end either!

Laser Hair Removal

I got mine done at a place that only does laser hair removal. It's obviously not a doctor's office, although only nurses are allowed to perform the treatments. It's not a spa either. I actually didn't tip because I paid SOOO freaking much for the LHR itself haha
