Laser Hair Removal/Reduction

Laser Hair Removal/Reduction

My weddings in June 17 so obviously it would be silly of me to do this now – wish I thought of it earlier.. But I do want to do this. Can anyone tell me if they’ve had this done and were you happy? I have one in my area that uses IPL. I’m interested in doing my underarms first naturally, then maybe my full arms. I’m Filipino, a bit dark skinned, and hairy arms, kind of like some Indian women but not as hairy as some them are.

it might be better to wait until after the summer...the reason why is bc you are not allowed to have any color at all, so if you have a little bit of a sun tan it can cause discoloration later on, and you want somebody who will actually tell you this instead of just doing it to take your money now rather than later.

It works great, and if its something you are interested def go for it.

i've had it done--- i'm a light skinned italian so i had my arms done (i wasn't ape-ish but u could see the hair against my skin and it always aggrivated me. The place i went to had me shave my arms first (no tan either!) and then they applied emla cream (topical anesthetic) and then they zapped me with a low ray first. You have to be careful that the technician DOES NOT BURN YOU. This happened to one of my friends. Make sure you talk to the ppl first and make sure they know what they are doing. different tones and textures take differently to the laser.

I've had laser hair removal done and love it. You have to be careful though. I'm Filipino too, but am not dark. I know that they cautioned me to not tan because one of the side effects of laser is that it can cause lightness in the area in which it was done. You do have to go back for a few sessions, but it's not bad--they apply a topical cream to numb a bit and SHOULD start off at a low level.

FM if you are interested because I know someplace that does it and they are great!

I hope this into TMI - but has anyone gotten it done on their face? That is where I am looking to get it done. - My upper lip.

Anyone?

Just wanted to add in - I am nervous about discoloration. And do you have to have it grow in before they can do it. (vomit)

I go to the same place that DiamondPipa goes to and I love the girls who do it! i have done my underarms and linear. i think its soooo worth it. you are doing underarms so i think you could still do it. you could probably get two sessions done before your wedding! And you see results after the first/second time.
You should definitely FM me or DiamondPipa so we could give you the information and you could get a discount if you tell them we referred you!
