me too. i'm very attached to my own last name, but FH really wants me to change it, and i think it will make it easier for the kids if i have the same last name.

I happen to LOVE my last name. It's unique, not a lot of letters and not at all difficult to pronounce. It's spelled exactly how it sounds. I'm sorry to see it go. FH's last name is QUITE common. The only plus is that now alphabetically I move to the head of the line.

I decided, when we went to the licence place, that I would do a hyphenated thing. There are a few reasons for it. Also, I can always change it again if I want to.

Mine will sound like a dish at an Italian restaurant, but it's a pretty name.

In the professional world I will keep my maiden name - I love it too much to let go!

His last name is Faulkner.. after meet the parents.. he is known as Focker...

HOW thrilled am I?

I thought the name abuse would end when I got married... NOW its the MUNCH-FOCKER wedding.

Im dying for my new name...I feel like my last name has always been jynxed...my parents have had too many bad things happen to them. FH's family on the other hand is very lucky- always winning bets and such so BRING IT ON!

I really love my last name now bc it's unique, but it always gets mispronounced/butchered and I won't have that problem with FH's so I'm looking forward to that aspect.

I wouldn't say I'm excited.
I didn't think I'd mind. But for some reason it started to get under my skin.

I am looking forward to sharing his last name, having that in common with him.

I was going to make my maiden name my middle name, but my parents were insulted that I would change my middle name!!

I'm so excited about my new last name-I'll miss my maiden name but like another bride said you aren't changing who you are. His last name is pretty common so it will be nice to have a last name that no one butchers!
