Eww How friggen inconsiderate. What a jerk!! There is no excuse good enough to justify that. Damn that *****. Sorry sweetie. Who needs him anyway?? I'd give him the gift anyway.. I mean what else can you do with at this point anyway. As for the programs.. wow.. thats tough. I dont know what I would do with that.. Lot s of luck. let us know how things go.

Wow, I feel your pain!! I had the same thing happen to me, except it was my cousin a bridesmaid and her daughter a jr. bridesmaid that backed out TOW DAYS before, ten minutes before we left for our rehearsal dinner they called to say they weren't coming. I lost well over a thousand dollars on them because we had paid for their dresses, flowers, BP gifts, plates. I had engraved stuff too. And they were in the programs too. Needless to say I have not spoken to them since. I went to my rehearsal dinner looking like a cried out rat. That had to have been the worst and most heartbreaking thing of my whole wedding. I had to suddenly jump into redoing seating and walking down the isle order. It was just sooo wrong of them. They didn't even have a valid reason. I am soooo sorry and feel your pain. People are so messed up and don't get all that goes into a wedding. That is soo wrong of your groomsman.
But just realize, your day will still be wonderful. It is his loss in the end, not yours!!

Hi ladies,
The deal was that this guy, who has been friends with FI for 5 years, left for California a week ago. He swore up and down he would get the tux before he left, bc he's coming back on Thursday and my wedding is saturday. Well, he left for CA, and last weekend FI called him just to make sure everything was set. But this guy hadnt gotten ANYTHING done, he hadnt gone for a fitting, nothing. We told him, get your a$$ in gear and get a tux or you cant be in the wedding party. So instead of seeing what he could do, seeing if he could rush order a tux from California, or trying to resolve the situation, he just opted to drop out.
FI was more hurt bc this was his good friend. I was more PISSED OFF bc I spent 2 hours after work one night printing out the church programs.
I dont understand how someone could be so irresponsible when THEY KNOW they are in a wedding party, WHY DONT THEY GET STUFF DONE???
AND this guy is getting married himself in october!!!
This was longer than I intended it to be, sorry for the rant

ALSO, he didnt even call US, we called HIM to make sure everything was set.

Just remember...in less than a week you will be married and while you are pi$$ed now, and rightfully so, on the 21st, you won't even be thinking about it. You will be marrying the man you love and in 10 years, you will be thankful that the jerk wasn't part of the wedding anyway. Peoples true colors always show, I am sorry that it had to happen now with such a short time left
