Lately I have been feeling a little nervous

about getting married. i love FH but I find myself looking at him & saying to myself this is the man that I am going to spend the rest of my life with. i go from being very excited to terrified to excited. Are there any other brides feeling like this?

Of course it happened!! It's the rest of your life so you have every right to be nervous!! I was. But as the other girls said just imagine him not being there.

Irish bride..I wanted to elope...my Fh wanted a wedding..This is all his fault!!!

Irish bride..we can blame this all on them then!!! hahahahahahha we'll stick together and help each other get through this. I get upset because he wanted the wedding..but Im doing all of thenplanning., we set a budget..and yet everytime i take the money to pay a vendor..he gets stressed..hes says hes not..but he is..then I get stressed..its causing problems.

I would be so sad if Fh was not around. I cant imagine not sharing my life with him. I think part of it is I have had a lot of grief from My Mom , FMIL and FSIL.

I would be so sad too..I think its good we are going through all of this stress..I also think its normal..Ive asked alot of my married friends and family and they all said that there are planty of times where they feel like killing their spouse ( not litearlly)..its just normal....we are just fighting over stupid things..ever since we lost my first ring..things have been a bit tense. It ****s!

Ditto to your thread! I have had those feeling also, but then you stop and think about who would you spent the rest of your life with and it is your FH that pops in your head. Or....He will say something real cute that makes you realize why you love him so much! Everything always works out, somehow... someway!!!!

I think that it is normal to question these things! It's the rest of your life! Marriage is a huge committment, and any reasonably intelligent person will question it to some degree. The problem, IMO, is this idea that planning your wedding is all bliss and flowers and giddy excitement, when in reality it is one of the most stressful times in our lives. We have this idea in our heads, and think there's something wrong with us when we don't fit the picture of the blushing bride 24/7. We need to cut ourselves a little slack.

Im so glad you posted this thread.I feel better too!! Have you read ' what noone tells the bride'..its a great book and explains that you will second guess yoru husband to be and that tehy will drive you crazy, etc. Its a reassuring book that what you are going through is normal!!!!

Irishbride, you summed up our exact evening last night with this:
I cant tell you how many times I have said to FH 'you dont love me anymore' or 'you really dont want to marry me'.
My FI refuses to answer me any more also. He just ignores me when I doubt his love for me.

You are definitely not alone.

can I tell you ladies I love you all!!! I love the honesty on here..I love the support!!! I found this website a few months agao while doing a google search on Long Island vendors..and this was a blessing..you are all so great!!!!
