Argentina here. I'm playing cumbia and cuarteto at the reception. I guess I should add some tango! We also got a whole roasted pig. I can't wait, I'm getting married so soon!!!!

I'm not quite latina.. but I'm half Spanish :) Mostly the wedding will be all American.. but we'll have paella etc at cocktail hour (FH and I made it for my mom a few years ago, it was really special), and my mom and I may dance to 'de nina a mujer' by Julio Iglesias.. she loveees him

I am also Latina! My parents are peruvian so I will definitely play Spanish music at the reception. I love spanish music. My FH is 100% Puerto RIcan so there will definitely be lots of Salsa!

what're all my latinas doing for their honeymoon?? i want to go to DR...i know hurricane season goes til November but statistically there hasn't been any activity there in a long time *KNOCK ON WOOD* plus merengue and bachata 24/7 is like heaven on earth for FH and i!

If you go to DR, look into Excellence in Punta Cana. It's said to be GREAT!!!! My TA just booked this place for another LIW lady and got her a great price. FM me if you want the info.
FH and I wanted to avoid the caribbean because of hurricane season (the last thing I need after the craziness of the wedding and moving in together is to have a hurricane hit our honeymoon spot). Since we already went to Hawaii last year, we decided on French Polynesia (aka Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora) for 10 days.

We are looking into the honeymoon. Our wedding is Oct. 5 which is still hurricane season. We are still trying to decide. We went to Punta Cana 2 yrs ago and will love to go back but my friend is getting married there in 2008 so don't want to go there this year and then the following year. We also went to Riviera Maya last year and absolutely loved it. We got engaged there. So, now we are debating whether to go to Aruba, Puerto Rico or go back to Riviera Maya and stay at the Secrets Excellance. Any suggestions?
