law students!

I totally agree with BHW - the bar is all about how you personally study & get things done. The best thing I did during the bar was not study or talk about the bar with those people who were studying 24-7 and freaking out. I found that it just made me more stressed. Personally, I was able to take the review class in the morning & then either go to the beach or watch soaps (a guilty pleasure) during the afternoon. It's completely whatever works for you. I would suggest totally forgetting about anything bar related until the review course starts - take this time to enjoy a bar-free life!
Good luck on finals!

Bar exam I suffered through that last summer (successfully!) I couldn't have survived w/o the lovely princez37 (Go CHAMPS!)
Last year there were a few different NYC locations for the bar, including the Jacob Javits where I was, and at the piers and some people were even at MSG. I say that you should take time off from studying, especially in June. The key is too pace yourself so you don't get burnt out.
I'm sure you all will do great. Good luck with the bar and finals!

thank you!

Good luck to all of you. I had a job lined up after my second summer so I didn't care that much about finals my third year.

For those of you about to start studying for the bar, here's a piece of advice. You need to do what's best for you. I am a total procrastinator and crammer. I definitiely didn't study as hard as some people, yet we all managed to pass. Only you know what's the best way for you to study. If you're the type of person that will have a nervous breakdown if you study all day/every day, then take breaks or don't study for most of the weekend. If you're the type to freak out if you didn't study for a day, then study every day even if it's only for a few hours on the weekend. What worked for some may not work for others. One of my co-workers woke up at 6am every day, studied until class, took the class, studied until dinner, went to the gym, and then studied some more. I could never have done that. I would've been burnt out. DH clerked for an appellate court following graduation. The clerks were expected to work throughout June (9-5 every weekday). Then, they watched the videos at night. He barely had any energy to study and really didn't start studying until July. I could never have done that either. We all passed two bars.

You will hear all kinds of advice on how to study for the bar. Take it with a grain of salt. Some things may help you and others may make you worried. Figure out a schedule that works for you, stick to it, and you'll be fine. Good luck. It's stressful, but it will all be over soon.

thank you! I have a job lined up too, maybe thats why im being so lazy! but i still dont want my grades to plummet (which might happen with my crazy procrastinating self)

this is really good advice. this prof today was just telling me how she studied all day for the bar and her technique really worried me because its not my style.
you're right though, i shouldnt let other people's methods stress me out!
