I have no idea where I'm taking it. I registered but they haven't given me a location yet. I know sometimes there are a few locations in NYC.

jacob javits is the only site in Manhattan
but i know some people drive up to albany for it because then they can drive over the boarder easily to massachusetts.

( i mean if you wanted to take it in 2 states!)

London was great! I love it and I think I saw Rachel Hunter on the street the first day there. My friend and I hated Paris though and I doubt I'll ever go back. It was a great trip and I will definitely go back to London.

you know, i hated paris too! whenever i tell people that, they think im crazy.

Don't know if you ladies want the advice of someone else that's been there done that, but here's a repeat of the best advice I received while studying -- Since the pass rate for the bar averages at about 65% in New York, whenever you freak out, just remember you only need to do better than about 35% of the people.

OH, and if you can accept early on that there is no possible way that you will get everything right, and give yourself permission to forget some things, it will take a lot of the stress off you!

thanks for the advice!!! makes me feel better

I am a 2L, and my wedding will be 2 months after the bar. When do things start to get really crazy as a 3L so I can plan ahead?

you'll be fine!! sept of third year is a breeze. it only gets crazy during finals because we all procrastinate SO much!
are you working this summer?

I am a dual degree student, and I need an internship to complete my other degree, so I am in a panic looking for a summer internship! My wedding will be next September, a little over a month after the bar. And I know all about the procrastination...I am feeling the pressure right about now!

o sorry, i misunderstood. for some reason i read your post as your wedding will be in sept of your third year!!

I know a lot of people getting married right after the bar. i thikn you should have enough time to plan. just try to get it all out of the way before march or so of third year.
the good thing is you will have august to do last min details.

As long as you get everything done before hand AND can truly focus on the test while there is wedding flutter all around, you will be fine!

Actually I know a few people who took it somewhere else in Manhattan because Javits center was so full. I heard the testing conditions were totally different. One room was fine and the other it was really hot and uncomfortable. Also they went to school/lived in the 2nd department.

bar locations

if you scoll down to where it says NYC test sites, they list different ones. Last year some people were at the pier location.

Lots of people are telling me they didn't get the hype over Paris either, so I don't feel so strange.

It says the NYC location for July is Jacob Javits but I guess they can add locations...

interesting, I never knew this...

Bar exam I suffered through that last summer (successfully!) I couldn't have survived w/o the lovely princez37 (Go CHAMPS!)
Last year there were a few different NYC locations for the bar, including the Jacob Javits where I was, and at the piers and some people were even at MSG. I say that you should take time off from studying, especially in June. The key is too pace yourself so you don't get burnt out.
I'm sure you all will do great. Good luck with the bar and finals!
